This book introduces Oly and Opi, two lovable dumbo octopuses who live deep in the Atlantic Ocean. Oly and Opi are "foster children" who have a lot to learn about their undersea world and what it means to live away from their parents. They have a loving foster "fish" mother and they are very curious to find out everything there is to learn about the strange and fun marine animals that live in their neighborhood. Early readers and children up to age 10 who are interested in the sea will enjoy this book. Because Oly and Opi live in pitch-black waters, they can't "see" very well so this book can be used to help all children learn about what it means to have a disability as well as what it means to live away from biological families.
