GREETINGS FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Welcome to the 2017 Collegiate DECA International Career Development Conference in Anaheim, California!

PAUL A. WARDINSKI

@decapaw

Over 1,500 Collegiate DECA members, advisors and corporate partners have gathered in SoCal for the pinnacle event of the DECA year, and we could not be more excited to spend the next four days creating new connections, engaging in challenging new adventures and celebrating incredible achievements with each of you. This year, DECA challenged you to #OwnYourFuture, and you surpassed our expectations in every way. You participated in Collegiate DECA’s Leadership Passport Program, created innovative new products in the DECA Idea Challenge, attended the Collegiate Leadership Academy (CLA) and conquered the competition to make it all the way to the international stage at #CDECAICDC. While #CDECAICDC is the most anticipated event of the year, the next four days you’ll spend in Anaheim will certainly go by faster than you ever expected. Be sure to take advantage of every opportunity Collegiate DECA offers you this week, such as meeting incredible corporate partners in the professional development academies and in our exhibit hall, sharing your experiences on social media using #CDECAICDC, and exploring the sports and entertainment and hospitality and tourism experiences that Southern California offers including Disneyland® and Universal Studios Hollywood®. Remember, just because you’ve made it to #CDECAICDC doesn’t mean it’s time to stop owning your future! Every new connection you make and challenge you conquer here in Anaheim will bring you one step closer to achieving your dreams. Congratulations on making it to ICDC and get ready to #OwnYourFuture in Anaheim!
