The selected thesis topic, LEPCHAKHA CO-LIVING is an amalgamation of the homestay concept and “workstation” concept.
It is a new era concept of creating a place for the young generation of working-class people, who tend to look for peace while they work and share their time with similar minded persons. The proposed site is at a serene place of North Bengal- at Lepchakha, West Bengal. It has historical monuments in the surroundings, a panoramic view of the mountain ranges and a southern clear view of the planes and rivers. The region is inhabited by a rare tribal group. The population is very few, and they need commerce growth and exposure to have a more sustainable life.
The Co-living concept helps the urban young working group of people and the locals to share experiences, culture. The break from working in congested concrete jungles in the cities to the peaceful, serene place help the “digital nomads” to feel lighten and explore their creative minds.
