Attending (beginning January 2023) with LSU Health Shreveport Department of Neurosurgery with a sub-specialty in Neurovascular

In addition to his neurosurgical training with the LSU Health Shreveport Neurosurgery Residency Program, Dr. Savardekar is a graduate of of the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in India and also professionally practiced neurosurgery while in India. He completed a clinical fellowship in spine surgery at LSU Health Shreveport, a clinical fellowship in skull base surgery at Osaka City University, and the Sonntag International Spine Fellowship at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Arizona.

He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers and has presented regionally and nationally at various conferences, educational courses, and clinics. Dr. Savardekar is active in several professional organizations including serving as a Section Editor for Vascular and Endovascular of the World NeurosurgeryJournal.
