Stadshavens is a huge waterfront transformation in Rotterdam, NL with a total size of 975 hectares. This publication puts the project in an European perspective. To get a grip on the sheer scale and complexity, it documents and compares Stadshavens to 10 other major transformation projects such as HafenCity Hamburg, Porto Antico in Genova and Orestad Copenhagen. They have been documented on characteristics like scale, program, finance, and phasing. The book thus provides an inspiring inventarisation on inner-urban port transformations and a source of inspiration for Stadshavens Rotterdam.
