Waiting for the Monsoon This is an enchanting novel about an impossible destiny.

Charlotte Bridgewater lives in a large derelict villa in Rampur with her demented, difficult father and just one faithful servant.

In the past, people were entertained with fabulous and expensive parties in this house. It is not longer the case as Charlotte and her father are now hardly making ends meet.

Madan was a child beggar; he has now become a very talented dressmaker who - thanks to his amazing and almost supernatural gift makes the most wonderful dresses.

The Colour of Nostalgia Just imagine: half a mile of wasteland. Even the toughest grass won’t grow there. And yet there are men in green suits on its border looking at it through binoculars.

Are they bird watchers? There is an equal number of men on the other side. They are all dressed in grey. They too have binoculars. They are also standing at a barrier. The one on this side are wearing red-and-white chequered suits. Are they keeping an eye on each other? Or on the strange, scaled hulk in the middle? When you look at it again an hour later, nothing has changed. Nobody wants to make the first move on this strip of land. Roman Novela was the head of the exact science faculty, but he has now become worker number 1440. He works at manufacturing press number 5. With this machine, he rolls exactly 1440 pieces of steel every day. They are the same size as a book. In his workplace, he is known as Roman Doctor Robot. He distinguished himself and he has been for four consecutively months the most productive comrade. His portrait hangs next to the one of the president, which is a great honor. He is a master hammerer and welds seams as straight as die. Roman has been successfully rehabilitated; he no longer needs to go through the metal detector after his shift for quite a while which was not always the case.

But by a bizarre coincidence, things takes an unexpected turn and Doctor Robots puts his new skills into good use.

You will rarely be witnessing such genuine historical ‘s landslides. We see the extension from influences and decisions made by a ruler. In the title Novella is a professor and estate owner who lost his job and home, as he is known to have been involved with pseudonymous pamphlets against the government. He has become a number and stays initially one. But a man is an individual and can be reluctant to the extreme.

The three parts in the Colour of Nostalgia are telling "little stories" in the background of the world history’s events.

The Gardener At No-Man’s-Land On a hillside covered with spruce and pine trees, a son silently follows the example of his father at the sawmill, a tradition that has gone on for generations. He saws trees into planks and provides plenty of progeny. Nothing else interests him.

Because peace is always agreed forever, but seldom lasts more than a couple of years. One by one, the sons leave the valley.

However, the youngest, Zlatomir, stays behind. He is afraid of becoming a different person if he crosses over to the other side of the hill. But then a vicious easterly wind gets up.

As lead singer in the boy band Caught in the Act, Bastiaan had a string of international hits, selling millions of albums and playing sold-out arenas and stadiums. He had fans.

City Lights When the Beatles in 1968 visited the Indian guru Maharishi Mahesh, millions of people came into contact with Eastern spirituality and meditation’s techniques.
