American-made dinosaurs, in the heart of Texas!
Our Story Billings Productions, Inc. was founded in 2003 by Larry and Sandra Billings in Larry’s hometown of McKinney, Texas. With his engineering background and her intuitive mind for business, they created a company with a dream of providing realistic animatronic dinosaurs for the education and entertainment of the public. As Larry said, “It’s all for the kids.” Even after Larry’s passing in 2007, the company carried on with his mission. Today, his wife and daughter continue the legacy, using dinosaurs to promote a better future for the next generation.

THE DINOSAUR COMPANY DIFFERENCE
We know we are not the cheapest option when it comes to animatronic creature exhibits- and we do not want to be. We pride ourselves on The Dinosaur Company Difference.
Safe and Durable Products
We have been building animatronics since 2004 and stand by our products. We are not a middle man and we do not outsource the construction of our creatures. Our weather-resistant products can be displayed both indoors and out. Our animatronics have survived desert sun and tropical storms, and the occasional chicken attack. Our creatures are pneumatically powered, meaning there is no risk of combustion- keeping your venue, assets, and guests safe.
Flexibility
We have the ability to custom create creatures, or you can select from over 70 species we have in our existing 400+ piece collection. Our smallest products can fit in a baby stroller, and our largest weigh several tons! We have static and animatronic models, as well as interactive options- like fossil digs and push-button robots. Creatures are available for lease or for purchase, with options of new builds or refurbished models. The possibilities are infinite.
Relationships
At The Dinosaur Company, we pride ourselves as a people-based business. From creature selection and color schemes, to show installation and field service visits- our friendly staff is available to help you every step of the way. We care about our clients!
A Committed Partnership - Not a Provider
New to planning exhibits? We can do a site-visit! A tree fell on your dinosaur? We’ll send someone to repair him! Installing a 2.5 ton T. rex can be daunting for your staff. Let our techs ease your mind! Field technicians from The Dinosaur Company are on-site when your shipment arrives. They are there to assist with unloading and placement, and will bring each creature to life. Our techs also return at the end of your show to get all of our creatures home safely.
PROJECT TIMELINE
Proposal
After discussing your ideal creatures, we will send a list of ideas and data sheets to help you plan your exhibit. We can provide a bid package if you need assistance pitching your ideas to a board or committee.

Prices are dependent on numerous factors (see Flexibility section on opposite page). We work within your budget to make your dinosaur dreams come true!
Production
After signing the contract (typically 8 to 12 months prior to your opening date), we will begin work on your customized exhibit. We’ll also send high quality photos for your marketing team to advertise your upcoming show.
Shipment and Installation
Shipments typically arrive about a week before opening day. Once shipped, domestic shows take an average of 2 days to arrive. Our qualified technicians will greet the shipment and assist with installation. With our multi-point checklist, our team does not leave until you are satisfied.

PLANNING
Exhibit Pricing
Individual quotes are provided to each partnership with prices tailored to your budget. All quotes include rental and transportation of creatures, service visits, and dedicated technicians for installation and take-down. Clients are responsible for compressor systems and machinery needed for installation.
Exhibit Success
The decision to have a value-added attraction vs. a separate entrance fee is up to the host location. On average, our clients see a 20% increase in attendance rate when hosting one of our exhibits. We can provide client referrals, as well as showreels featuring our amazing creatures, fun exhibits ideas, and interviews with CEOs, Marketing Directors, and Exhibit Coordinators from previous show partners.
Interactives
In addition to our animatronic pieces, we also offer engaging interactive items. We have photo ops for climbing, creatures that spray water, kidpowered robots, fossil digs, and sensory friendly options.
UTILITY REQUIREMENTS
Power
Our exhibits are powered from a central location with either 110 VAC (3A) or 220 VAC (1.5A). Low voltage lines are connected to each dinosaur by our team before final testing of the movements and sounds. In this example, a total of 36 amps at 110 VAC would be required at the power location (1).
Compressed Air, with Dryer (system provided by exhibit host)
The dinosaurs require 100 PSI with an average flow rate of 5 CFM (dry). The actual CFM requirements will vary by dinosaur selection. Your compressor supplier will help determine the final unit needed.

Why Pneumatics?
All of our creatures are pneumatically (air) powered as it provides significant environmental and safety advantages over electric and hydraulics. No electricity in the creature means there is virtually zero risk of internal ignition and shock due to motor malfunction. Electric motors tend to produce very repetitive motion loops. In contrast, pneumatic actuators power each point of articulation- thereby creating more fluid, life-like movements. No hydraulics means that in the event of a leak, you only get a small amount of air noise and not an oily mess in the environment.

TOTAL CFM: 63 CFM
TOTAL POWER: 36 A
In this illustration, a total of 79 CFM is required (63 x 1.25) with a recommended 20 HP compressor (2). Air lines (provided by client) can be run with a larger trunk line with smaller feeder lines going to each dinosaur. Standard industrial styled air fittings are used to connect to our dinosaurs.
