My name is Daniel Castillo and I’m an Industrial Design student at ESEIAAT (Escola Superior d’Enginyeries Industrials, Aeroespacials i Audiovisuals de Terrassa).

My main interests are furniture design, graphic design and anything that has to do with music, since I’m a guitar and a bass player.

This portfolio contains my best work throughout my college years.

develop a fruit related brand and apply it to different products in a way that the costumer can relate each of them to the same brand.

“Hella Good� is a brand that comercializes fruit related producs.

It intends to promote healthy nutritional habits amongst the young population.

I gave the brand a very urban aesthetic, using the black background as the cohesive element between products.

I reinforced the link by implementing a character.

Color came defined by the fruit I was labeling for.

So, using the chromatic circle, I defined the palette of each fruit based on it’s complementary color and another one in between the two.

TAG is a brand created by my PBL (Project Based Learning) team that comercializes wine products.

The newest addition to the catalog is this super compact profesional corkscrew.

It’s dedicated design makes for a super portable corkscrew that doesn’t bulk up when being carried around by the waiter.

It has a lever extraction system which allows to remove the cork safely and in very little time.

It also comes with the option of a wall mount. In this case, we teamed up with BarcelonaMilano to design the wall-mount so that it integrates prefectly into their restaurants.

BarcelonaMilano has a very industrial aesthetic and a very strong connection with the train line that travelled beween Barcelona and Milano, so when thinking about the designs, we went back and looked for images of old train stations, and found those huge iron beam structures.

We implemented that image in our wallmount.

Teamed up with Sònia Morera, Sergi Font and Carlos Vélez de Mendizábal to create sommet, a mountain gear brand based on recycled materials and biodegradable and organic products.

We designed: flask, tea packaging, juice bottle, energy bars’ packaging, shoe packaging, T-shirt and it’s packaging.
