Note from the Director

Thank you so much for attending North Boone’s 2024 Spring Musical, The Addams Family. This semester, our students have worked together in building this wonderful piece of performance art that you are about to see. In January, students auditioned for our group of directors, preparing independently a song and scene of their choice. Shortly after, students from our high school, middle school, and upper elementary began preparing their characters and designing their own costumes. Backstage students attended workshops on set-building and under supervision, assembled the sets you’ll see in our show. Our student choreographer prepared original dances and did an amazing job teaching her peers. With guidance, our tech students programmed our lights and designed our sound for this space. In March, students went on a field trip to find costumes and props for our show from second-hand stores in the area. All the while, students sacrificed their time and energy rehearsing their parts, building a strong, welcoming community. We are so proud of our amazing students and our program and hope you’ll congratulate them on a job well done!

I have been in Drama Club for three years. This is my fifth show with North Boone Drama Club. I’m in 9th grade, and I am ecstatic to be playing Wednesday! This is my sixth show with North Boone High School and 16th show altogether. Some of my highlights include playing Sandy in Grease at North Boone and playing Flounder in The Little Mermaid at Starlight Theatre.
