Welcome:
to the RPS 205 Tip Off Classic. We are excited to host a competitive, opening-week tournament for players, coaches, and fans. The goal of putting on a first-class, national event could not be accomplished without the buy-in of all four RPS 205 high school athletic directors, staffs, and administration.
I look forward to seeing athletes, coaches, and fans representing their schools through positive play, language, and behavior. As we know, it is all of our responsibility to show respect to the game and to each other, and to respect the integrity and judgment of the officials. Good sportsmanship is not a catch phrase, but rather the foundation of hard fought competition.
The RPS 205 values of character, communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement seem particularly appropriate in athletic settings and I can’t wait to see those in action on our courts this week. I wish good fortunes to all twelve schools as they open up the boys basketball season with our eighth annual RPS 205 Tip Off Classic.
