Dear Parents, Students, Alumni and Community Members,
Welcome back to the start of the 2025-2026 school year. I hope you enjoyed your off season training and took time to rest before getting back for another exciting and successful school year. At Winnebago High School, we offer a variety of sports and activities to compete in: Fall Sports Offered: Boys and Girls Cross Country, Boys and Girls Golf, Boys Soccer, Cheerleading, Football and Volleyball. Winter Sports Offered: Boys and Girls Basketball, Cheerleading, Wrestling and Bowling (co-op team with Oregon High School). Spring Sports Offered: Baseball, Boys and Girls Track & Field, Girls Soccer and Softball.
Clubs Offered: Drama Club, Robotics, Scholastic Bowl and our Math team is making a return this year after a few years of absence. The athletic and activity programs offered at the Winnebago High School play an essential role in teaching our young men and women to conduct themselves with respect and integrity. The mission of the Winnebago Athletics is to strive for excellence, persevere through adversity, make sacrifices and compete with dignity and pride, while developing a commitment to teamwork and service to our school and community.
Our athletic administration staff and coaches work with our teachers to provide a challenging, caring and supportive environment where each one of our student-athletes can reach their fullest academic and athletic potential. We expect our coaches, athletes and spectators to demonstrate Indian pride by conducting themselves in a manner that shows respect and sportsmanship while interacting with opposing teams, coaches, fans and officials alike.
The Winnebago Fans Club continues to play a pivotal role in providing much needed support in funding for our athletes and coaches within our high school athletic programs. Please reach out to Fans Club members for ways to help. In addition to Fans Club, we would like to extend a big thank you to our local businesses, alumni, community and family members for their continued support.
