CASE STUDY

K9 Hondo is a working German Shepard for the Winthrop Harbor, Illinois police department. In late 2019, while his handler Officer Bill Bogdala was on vacation, Hondo wandered from the yard and was struck by a vehicle.

While Hondo survived, the emergency room veterinarians identified through x­ray that he had a shattered HIS hip and fractured his pelvis.
