Camille is a flourishing illustrator based in Montreal, Quebec. Originally from a small rural town in Abitibi-Temiscamingue, she moved to the big city to pursue her passion in art. She first studied Visual Arts before becoming a student in Dawson’s Illustration program. Her background in traditional media and acrylic painting bleed into her current digital style. Her main inspirations are nature and folk music. Her dream is to be able to continue to do what she loves: create great illustrations for people to enjoy.

Lucas is a Montreal illustrator who enjoys creating pictures in a wide variety of mediums ranging from pencils to photography, but he completes most of his final work digitally. Lucas is motivated by learning and trying out new things. He loves to draw characters and weave them into the context of a new story, in styles that range from graphic and stylized to realistic. He is inspired by music and movies, which always play a major part in his creative process.

Based in Montreal, Nadjea was raised in a small country town. They moved to the city at 17 to pursue their passion for art. Inspired by the sumac trees and vast fields of their childhood home, they hope to achieve an eclectic unity in their work; mixing the peace of the countryside with the clamour of the city. Dabbling in many mediums, Nadjea is most invested in their traditional sketchbooks, and seeks to capture the feelings of wonder and vulnerability that make them excited about the world.

Coline is a Montreal based, visual development artist, who mainly works digitally, but also enjoys sketching in traditional mediums and painting outdoors with gouache. She is motivated by daily life as well as colour and light in nature. Coline also enjoys movies and film photography. She is inspired by everything around her but is always looking at the works of other animation artists and various traditional master painters such as Richard Schmid and Sorolla. Her work often focuses on mood and colour.

BEHANCE Alessandro Cantor

Alessandro Cantor is an illustrator and graphic designer based in Montréal. During his time at Dawson College, he was able to explore many different mediums and software. Ultimately, he discovered collage and vector-based illustration, which are now his main creative outlets. His collages are mostly made traditionally and then arranged digitally. Alessandro enjoys creating bold characters with extravagant poses, often framed within posters.

Jade is an illustrator who likes to be very intuitive and organic in their art. They like to explore shapes and lines with complete freedom, trying to go back to drawing with the innocence of a child. They are inspired by the human body and face, which they try to illustrate in new and playful ways by pushing the limits of what is expected. They work with colored pencil in a sketchbook first, and then bring the sketches into procreate to refine their illustrations.

Jihan is a unique illustrator whose principle is strongly built around fundamentals and flow. As a recent graduate from the Dawson illustration program, he intends to make an impact in the video game industry with his conceptual skills, appealing characters, and astonishing vehicle design. Jihan is highly influenced by anime, music, cars, Y2k elements and fashion. Although he may appear too technical at first, his abilities are far greater than his imagination, giving him the versatility necessary to realize any kind of project.

Sherine is a passionate and lively illustrator from Montreal who gets her inspiration from the simple elements in her everyday life. She finds great joy in attempting to convey the complexity of human emotions and feelings by interpreting them and turning them into bright, messy, and chaotically beautiful art. For this reason, her go-to style is very painterly and lawless. She often finds herself greatly appreciating artists who choose to do things differently. Digital art is where she is the most comfortable thanks to the great opportunities the medium provides and the limitations it eliminates.

Creative and colourful illustrations going from cute cartoons, to painterly and atmospheric scenes. Experienced with digital art and 2D graphics, Myriam is intent on creating high quality work, either solo or as a collaborative effort.

Ori is a Montreal based artist who recently graduated from the Illustration Program at Dawson College. Employing a multitude of rendering styles, both digital and traditional, Ori has an appreciation for surrealist imagery. While their art tends to focus on macabre themes, it is not limited only to dark subject matters, and Ori enjoys creating heartwarming illustrations as well. Character art and portraiture are particular specialties, with a focus on precision. Ori is motivated through music, and often creates themed playlists to accompany specific projects. Ori’s earliest visual inspiration is local Montreal artist, Olivier Dumoulin, who was the first person to ever teach them art. Other, more recent inspirations include James Jean, Sergio Toppi, Seb Mckinnon, Jewish folklore, the bones of long dead animals, as well as their pet snake, Tooth.

Yuki specializes in story-driven character illustrations, merchandise-creation, and motion design. Born and raised in China, she was exposed to East Asian media and is inspired by 2000-2010s Japanese mangas, animes and games. Juliette is an illustrator and graphic designer based in Montreal. Her work is influenced by the paintings of Jean-Michel Basquiat and Wes Anderson’s cinematography. Juliette loves to incorporate typography and graphic elements in her artwork, as well as the colour pink. She would describe her art style as “feel-good” and “eye-catching”. In her spare time, Juliette likes to read, listen to music (whether it’s at live concerts or on her phone), and browse Pinterest with a warm cup of coffee in her hands. Lilly Le, also known under the pseudonym Zwei Sainct, is a nonbinary Vietnamese-Canadian pixel artist, illustrator and recent Dawson graduate. They love to illustrate stories and characters relating to their childhood and personal experiences as a second-generation Canadian. They mainly use digital art as their medium, but from time to time will draw traditionally in their sketchbook. Lilly grew up consuming a wide variety of cartoons, films, and mangas (specifically Igarashi Daisuke’s Children of the Sea) which were their main inspiration to start drawing.

Yu Ji is a Chinese illustrator who grew up in Canada. With influences from both cultures, they create artworks that balances out Western style and Oriental details. Graduated from the Illustration program of Dawson College, they specialize in character design, digital semirealistic illustrations and traditional pen and ink. They would love to work in the video game industry or the editorial industry, since they are a passionate gamer and their source of motivation is to create their own graphic novel.

What inspires Sage are Tabletop Roleplaying Games such as “Dungeons and Dragons”, and “Chronicles of Darkness”. Amy is a French Canadian artist from Scottish roots. Specializing in character design and rendering, she enjoys doing most of her illustrations digitally. A fun fact about Amy is that she’s very invested in the streaming industry and plans on making it her hobby outside of work. Her art style is all over the place and changes constantly, but a common theme is she enjoys drawing women and rendering animals.

Erin is a Canadian Illustrator who studied in the Illustration program at Dawson College in Montreal. She is fluent in both traditional and digital means of creation and enjoys reflecting her sense of humour throughout her work. Her primary sources of inspiration are music and animated films. She considers her vast taste in music an asset, as it allows a constant flow of new ideas to fuel her creativity. Erin has always loved Pixar’s Finding Nemo and Ghibli Studio’s Ponyo. The presence of the sea in both of these films brings her a certain sense of familiarity and desire to venture beyond the horizon.
