I absolutely enjoy teaching students skills they will need to become a successful Diesel Technician. It is an incredible career field that will constantly challenge your technical and mechanical skills as well as your ability to think logically and problem solve. To me, these skills are valuable in all aspects of life.
I always ask my students if they admire the “Old Timers” skills. You know that old timer that can fix anything? My students will always say, “Yes I do.” Then I love to respond to them “The best way to gain those skills is through the incredibly challenging career field of Diesel Tech!”

Web and Graphic Design students created the official Green Dragon logo.

Ricky Zazueta knew it was time to make a change—in his life and in his family’s. After his brother died from a heart condition, Ricky turned to methamphetamine to cope. Heavy drug use ultimately landed him in prison for aggravated robbery in Utah. Ricky’s wife was three months pregnant.
Ricky let go of his drug addiction and turned to education. At Utah Department of Corrections, he enrolled in Davis Technical College’s Culinary Arts program. After graduating, he landed a job at Red Lobster just a week after being released from prison. A bit later, he became a banquet chef at Marriott Hotel. Ricky is grateful to be a provider for his family and hopes to continue spending more time with them while pursuing his passion for culinary arts.
We provide cost-effective training, flexible scheduling, and support systems to foster student success.
We engage industry, educational, and community partners to provide shared opportunities for all.
We cultivate an environment in which new ideas, creative thinking, and imagination can thrive.
We promote quality and high performance through our commitment to responsible and informed decisions.
We embrace a culture of inclusiveness, community involvement, and service.
