Lantz pleads guilty to robberies

FARMINGTON — Nathaniel Lantz pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated robbery in the knife point robberies of four north Davis businesses last spring. Lantz, 25 entered the first-degree felony guilty pleas in 2nd District Court on Monday. In exchange for his guilty pleas, prosecutors agreed to dismiss two other first degree felony aggravate robbery charges and two misdemeanor charges. Lantz was arrested June 9, following a robbery at a McDonald’s in Clearfield. After his arrest, police say they found evidence in his car linking him to robberies at a Clearfield Subway on June 6 and the Baskin-Robbins, also in Clearfield, on May 30. Police also say they found evidence from a robbery of a Layton Walgreens on May 22. At the time, police said they believed the robbery suspect would return to the area of the Subway following that robbery and sent extra patrols. When they received the call of the McDonald’s robbery, they were able to quickly take Lantz into custody. A sentencing hearing for Lantz will be Feb. 7, when he
