WHAT WE DID
BALTIC VIEW
Liverpool Baltic View is a development comprising 129 apartments along with a courtyard, communal space, and storage space for up to 100 bicycles. The scheme also features nine office units totalling 1,174 sqm on the ground and first floors to accommodate businesses in the creative and digital sectors, which is what the Baltic Triangle area has become a home to over recent years.
Crossfield Exclusive Developments acquired the site in a partially constructed state with sections of the structure completed but no services yet installed. Davies Partnership were appointed to provide the MEP design and Part L Building Regulations Duties for the apartments and communal areas to achieve overall block SAP compliance.
This scheme won the ‘Residential Property Deal of the Year’ Award at the 2019 Inside Property Awards for the Liverpool City Region.

OLYMPIC WAY
London
This project involves the refurbishment of an existing office building alongside the iconic Wembley Stadium on Olympic Way, creating 220 apartments together with the construction of a further 120 new-build apartments. The ground floor car park of the offices is to be developed to create new office space and retail units.

Davies Partnership were engaged by Sheen Lane to design the MEP services and provide technical support during the installation phase. Our sustainability department prepared the Part L models for the non-domestic accommodation.
MEP highlights include stringent planning authority energy targets and ASHP efficiency targets both at design stage and in-use. Electric heating is provided to the refurbished apartments whilst the new extension is heated via a community air to water heat pump system with heat interface units for heating and hot water generation in each apartment.
PLAZA 1821 Liverpool
Located on the Liverpool waterfront at Princes Dock and suitably named after the year in which it opened, Plaza 1821 is a residential development comprising 105 one and twobedroom apartments along with ground floor commercial units.
Davies Partnership were appointed in a dual capacity on this project, initially to act a client advisor for Regenda on the PRS apartment scheme and secondly to design the MEP services within the ground floor commercial units to meet the clients fit out requirements. Commercial Unit 1 is to be fitted out for Moose Coffee with work ongoing, whilst Commercial Unit 2 was fitted out as a Residents Lounge, Staff Office, and associated WC.

ST ANNE STREET
Liverpool
Located on the edge of Liverpool City Centre on the junction of St Anne Street and Fox Street, this new build development comprises the construction of three residential building blocks totalling 300 apartments all within one site. The project will also be complete with dedicated parking and a central courtyard for both residents and the public.

Davies Partnership are the appointed MEP consultant providing the full MEP design for the scheme.
THE APPROACH Liverpool
This scheme comprises part of the wider redevelopment of Edge Lane with the building of 145 affordable luxury homes in partnership with Liverpool City Council. The homes are targeted at young professionals and working families. 107 one, two and three bed apartments will be available via Rent to Buy, many with an ensuite bedroom as well as a bathroom. Each apartment will have car parking and cycle parking and the majority will have either a garden area or roof terrace. The project also includes 38 contemporary two and threebedroom homes for sale via Shared Ownership which will benefit from gardens and car parking.
Davies Partnership designed the MEP services to RIBA Stage 4 before developing the scheme to RIBA Stage 5 post tender on behalf of the MEP Contractor. Design and Build Specifications were produced and sustainability services provided which included non-domestic Part L Dynamic Simulation Modelling and SAP calculations.

WHAT THEY SAID
Studio RBA led the Architectural Design on the new St Anne Street Development in Liverpool. The scheme comprises 300 residential units for our client SEP Construction. Davies Partnership played the key role in developing MEP designs, engaging in a proactive manner with both design team and developer- contractor and always with a positive outlook focussed on finding solutions rather than creating issues. The scheme was designed and fully coordinated using 3D REVIT and Davies Partnership undertook this role in a collaborative and professional manner, their communication being excellent throughout the design process.
The guys at Davies Partnership were incredibly proactive and quick to help us up front with space planning key service areas to expedite the process and to help inform the development of layouts. It soon followed with fully coordinated REVIT models that we could integrate into our own. Their technical knowledge and clarity of explanation is excellent, which made the whole process enjoyable!
Davies Partnership issued its design information in a timely manner and to a high quality standard. We would have no hesitation in working with Davies Partnership on future projects.
