EJI Report

EJI Manual

This detailed report is aimed at the practitioner or facilitator who is coaching, assessing or feeding back to their client. It combines a graphical representation of each of the respondent’s seven scores, with a detailed description of how this score is manifested in the individual’s likely behaviour and outlook.

This comprehensive user’s manual helps practitioners understand each of the concepts measured by the EJI: Being Aware of Emotions (AW); Identifying Own Emotions (IS); Identifying Others’ Emotions (IO); Managing Own Emotions (MS); Managing Others’ Emotions (MO); Using Emotions in Problem Solving (PS); and Expressing Emotions Adaptively (EX).

Using the information provided in the report, an expert facilitator will be equipped to talk to their client about the way they currently perceive and use emotions – both their own and those of their colleagues and peers. The report draws attention to the respondent’s strengths and blind spots when it comes to managing emotional information, providing a grounding for the creation of personal development plans, or forming the basis of informed assessment for selection or development.

The manual provides reliability and validity information for the EJI, and outlines the theoretical background to emotional intelligence as shown in academic studies on the subject. It describes the process the test author used to construct and calibrate the tool to industry standards, and summarises key research linking emotional intelligence (as measured by the EJI) to job performance.

The EJI provides a well rounded view of an individual’s emotional intelligence in general, as well as his/her ability to influence and lead. Concrete, qualitative areas to develop are provided in a non-threatening language, making the EJI a valued tool when debriefing clients. Dr. Gregory Wiens, Founder, Healthy Growing Churches

Personality test training

Facilitators wishing to administer the Emotional Judgment Inventory must hold the BPS Test User: Occupational, Personality qualification (formerly Level B) and purchase a copy of the EJI manual. OPP offers the relevant BPS-approved training for this accreditation if you do not already hold it. 4 + 2 days 

Test User: Occupational, Personality (MBTI® & 16PF®) Some pre- and post-attendance work required

An optional one-hour webinar, for those with TUOP/Level B qualification, provides detailed information about how the EJI can be applied and how to interpret the EJI Report. Attendees will receive a copy of the EJI manual and a personal EJI Report as part of the course. Psychologists with a master’s degree or psychometric training may also be eligible for direct access to the tool. See OPP website for more details.

Get the full picture with the world’s most comprehensive personality tool The 16 Personality Factors (16PF®) questionnaire is a robust, reliable measure of personality traits that is used to select, develop and motivate the people who make organisations thrive. The insights it provides are authenticated by over 2,700 independent, peer-reviewed research articles, making it a highly reliable, accurate predictor of future behaviour and likely success. The 16PF’s pioneering author Raymond Cattell was the first to identify the broad dimensions of personality known as the Big Five, a widely accepted theory upon which many instruments are now based. Using the original and superlative measure of personality brings you the confidence and credibility you need to make important people decisions.

Benefits Improve business results by selecting and developing the people who make your organisation thrive Be confident of making the right selection and development decisions with this thoroughly validated assessment Carry out more probing and insightful interviews with structured prompts See the whole picture with a tool that measures personality in both professional and personal life – unlike other assessments Reduce the risk in decisions about key roles and major development investments with great breadth of insight

Key features

The 16PF assessment provides an unrivalled breadth of insight, helping you to understand objectively who people are by getting a view of their whole personality, not just the behaviour they exhibit in professional contexts. This reduces the risk in decisions about key roles and promotions, at all levels, providing a perspective that is difficult to obtain from interview alone.

Provides solid calibration with over 2,700 published research articles supporting the tool’s validity

The assessment can also act as a point of reference throughout a career, identifying development needs so that a person’s full potential can be realised.

Gives access to objective, empirical measurement of traits that accurately predict behaviour

Revealing 16 personality factors that people recognise immediately, and providing a range of accessible reports that can be tailored to your organisation’s needs, the 16PF tool is indispensable in making your people the catalyst for success.

We chose the 16PF over other trait-based tools because the language used and the way the information is presented is accessible and engaging, and because the theory and results are very resonant with people, even if they know nothing of psychometrics. Emma Rush, Head of Training, Finers Stephens Innocent LLP

Reveals 16 different personality characteristics, structured around five widely accepted global factors of personality
