Create an anonymous survey to get a better understanding of individual’s positions on voicing and solving societal problems that have affected them.

The Plan: 1. Prompt passersby to create a picket sign about something they believe in.

2. Ask them questions while they are in the picket zone.

We stand up for ideas that we feel most passionate about or those that personally affect us.

However, there is a reluctance to voice those opinions

publicly.

“We are the 99%”

Who: The 99% - the percentage of US citizens who feel that there is a large disparity of income and wealth between the top earning 1% and the lower 99% What: Protest Movement When: First protest occured on September 17, 2011 Where: Zuccotti Park, located in New York City’s Wall Street Financial District Why: To bring attention to social and economic inequality, greed, corruption and the perceived influence of corporations on government that this power garners—particularly from the financial services sector.
