Site Condition Shipai Village is an urban village located in the center of Guangzhou, which is described as a basin in the city. The large foreign population has caused the locals to lose their sense of belonging.

The project focuses on a family of four generations.They live together in an ancestral house passed down from generation to generation because of family ties.

Mars colonization timeline With the deterioration of the Earth's environment and unlimited population growth, a global ecological disaster, and even the destruction of the Earth may occur in the future. Responding to these severe challenges,Mars colonization program has been proposed in order to increase the survival possibility of human in civilization.

SpaceX has developed a heavy rocket that can be filled with numerous people and large amount of materials, and plans to eventually establish a selfsufficient city on Mars to become the second base for human beings, so that human beings can become a true interplanetary species.

2010s

2020s

Phase Ⅰ Unmanned technology will be employed to manipulate two starships to carry the necessary supplies and lay the groundwork for the first manned mission to Mars

2030s Phase Ⅱ About one hundred specialistsin various fields will be covered through establishing the first humanbase on Mars

2040s

A space station orbiting Mars will be built and act as the role of a space corridor bridge connecting to Earth

2050s— Phase Ⅲ The first city on Mars will take shape and a million people will be sent to the planet to form a colony

New space needle In 2050, as the Mars colonization program will step into its third phase, one million people will be expected to work and live on Mars.We are now proposing to construct a Martian training base in Seattle, on the site of the original Space needle, to attract and give people inspiration. The training base will be equipped with research and exploration programs and the Martian environment simulation.At the same time,it’s also a monument of Mars colonization program creating catalytic effect in the process.

The tower provides trainers with long-term preparation including basic theoretical study and physical fitment.The trainees will be grouped with teammates to live and socialize in the building which will create a basic social structure for the new Mars society. It also has a variety of laboratories for researching survival technologies on Mars, providing technical support for building efficient Martian cities in the future. At the same time, the trainers will be guided to complete the program of career differentiation.Eventually, they will be transported to Mars by starships when they complete their training programs.

The building is accessible for public visitors to experience the basic training in the base of the building, or go straight to the top dome to experience simulated Martian environment.

Spacebase retail facility Seattle's Space Needle was originally built for the 1962 World's Fair. The 1960s were the years of the space race, the first humanlanding on the moon, and the Space Needle held many imaginations about the future and space travel.

We will extend its core and supporting structures to integrate with Martian training programs, creating a new monument of human exploration for universe in a dense urban environment to inspire imagination and enthusiasm.

We build a vertical system that changes from bottom to top in three ways, with gravity gradually approaching Mars, materials changing from the familiar natural to the high-tech artificial environment, and training modes gradually combining from individuals to teams, and finally arriving in a dome that fully simulates the Martian environment. Visitors can experience the basic training stage, and then take the sightseeing elevator straight to the dome, and tour the Mars Park inside the protective cover.

During the Japanese ruleperiod,many social struggles took place on Taiwan's main island,and the Taiwan consciousness of its own residents was strengthened.And as a result,the identity of Kinmen and Taiwan began to diverge.

The Republic of China became disadvantaged in the civil war and retreated to Taiwan in full force,with Kinmen becoming the front line of the war.

Kinmen's three major industries: tourism, industry, and fisheries are currently in a parallel stage of development, unable to bring economic growth and social development to the islanders

Due to the ebb and flow of the tides, there are large areas of undeveloped wetlands around Kinmen Island, with only scattered oyster fields lining the landscape.

After the war, Kinmen faced a new generation and a violent clash between the identity of the young and the older generation.The islanders' selfcitizenship is thus gradually becoming blurred.

After a long period of war, the people of Kinmen have become comfortseeking, and stagnant social development has left fewer and fewer jobs for young people.

Master Plan Politically marginalised, the people of Kinmen are in a state of permanent stagnation, and the gradual loss of their young population is making their development even more difficult.

We identified a tourism path and selected five important nodes for its design. We hope to integrate the scattered industries of Kinmen through this overall plan, which is also a tourism path that creates public spaces shared by tourists and islanders between the coast and the island.
