recall back in school some ages back, how I enjoyed starting on a fresh page. A new page made me forget the mistakes in previous pages marked in red by my teacher. A new year has the tendency to make us forget our disappointments and mistakes in the past year, yet we ought to correct our past errors to attain the results we need this year. New Year’s resolutions become meaningless if we do not account for 2022. We must ask ourselves some questions and account for our mistakes, our missed goals and improve this 2023.

What are the disappointments and mistakes we made in 2022?

What caused us to miss our goals in 2022?

How do we improve ourselves this 2023 and make sure we accomplish our goals?

In as much as we have set our goals for 2023,

In all that we will do this new year, let us depend on God and involve Him in all that we do. Part of committing our work to God involves seeking Him and yielding to His will. The most important question we must ask ourselves is what the will of God is for our lives and how we can begin to make strides towards achieving His will. Life has taught me to never drift away from the will of God. Sometimes the reason our lives seem to be like a roller coaster is because we have drifted far from the will of God and lost focus. When we yield to God’s will for our lives, things usually work together for our good. Life is much better when we surrender the steering wheel to the Lord. When He takes over the wheel of our lives, we will be steered in the right direction. This 2023, may the Lord go before us, may He guide us and lead us in all that we do!
