D.A.T.E. HISTORY D.A.T.E. is the names’ acronym of the four young founders: Damiano (1980), Alessandro (1982), Tommaso (1981), Emiliano (1971). In 2005 they met up in London and feeling dissatisfied with their working lives, decided to throw themselves into the ambitious project of creating their own sneakers brand. Despite the initial difficulties, they succeeded in creating the first collection: a few models with an early Seventies British style. The only pursuable solution in order to not give up the project was to manufacture the first D.A.T.E.s by themselves. Based on Emiliano and Damiano’s experience and picking up old machines, they improvised a workshop in Emiliano’s garage, where they met up daily after work. Spending the whole summer working day and night, they finally succeed in delivering the orders.
In January 2006, thanks to a friend, they managed to get themselves invited to display as guests on a stand at Pitti Immagine Uomo, Florence, showing their collection in a small space. Owing to their decidedly craftsman’s feeling, the first D.A.T.E.s charmed the public and sold more than 8,000 pairs in just three days. They were a success! D.A.T.E.s became the real news of the season. Today, after just eight years, D.A.T.E. sells more than 300,000 pairs of sneakers a year and its products are distributed in all the main countries throughout the world. Their passion, together with their growing professional skills contribute to creating a product with a high level of quality: the result of tireless design research and painstaking choosing and selection of materials, combined with obsessive attention to details. The project, which was born out of strong British urban influences, has evolved into a new dimension. The square logo represents the symbolic space that is the conceptual meeting point of the four partners in D.A.T.E. and their different experiences. Florence, Autumn /Winter 2014 - 2015

SHOES Born in early 2012, DATES*HUB is the branded webzine of D.A.T.E., sprung up by our desire to offer a suitable container to an audience of cool hunters, bloggers and anyone who loves creativity. DATE*HUB is not just webzine, but it is also a real HUB: a virtual meeting point where our style research meshes with design, graphic, photographic and illustration challenging projects of young and passionate artists from all over the world. DATE*HUB is also a group of young creative people working together to find out new arts, music, photography, film and graphic design to represent and inspire D.A.T.E. Among them, are our TALENTS: cool hunters, curious people, travelers and dreamers. With their own style and philosophy they present the new 2014-15 Autumn/Winter D.A.T.E. sneakers collection. They are always searching for new challenges and looking for perfection. Not just creative people, but also painters, musicians, writers and actors who are actively involved in artistic projects. Showing their personal touch and skills in any occasion, defining their features and their personality. Always wearing their D.A.T.E.

Born in Puglia, she is now living in Abruzzo. Graphic design is her World. With a deep passion for magazines, she collaborates with Paperzine Straoccupati where she writes about art and curious matters. She is one of the editors for DATE*HUB. Lively and smiling, Bananas lover, mini-pony saver, she is always looking for curiosities, new ideas and mystical experiences.
