ATTENTION INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS:
• Our client has set the specifications for this visit and may not accept your project for payment if all specifications are not met. Please review all specs AND questions so you fully understand all details on how to conduct the shop properly
• Verify the date range for this project in your Shopper Log.
• BEFORE performing the shop, email your scheduler if you have any questions.
As an Independent Contractor, it is necessary to follow these Project Specifications completely and accurately No exceptions will be accepted by our client.
Shopper Requirements
Make sure you have the ability to take a photo while you are at the store. Your shop will not be accepted without the required pictures.
Shop Scenario
Guidelines:
For this shop, head to your assigned department and find a rather large price tag item of $500 or more (truly does not matter AND does NOT have to come from your assigned department - you can still inquire about that item with your assigned department) and put it in your cart. Find an associate in YOUR ASSIGNED department area and let them know you want to get the item today and ask them if they are going to have any sales coming up on the item as you wanted to know just in case. See if they ASK ask “Will this purchase be on your Home Depot Account?” or “Would you like to save $25, $50, or $100 on your purchase today?”.
You will then go to the cash register and ask them if there will be a sale on the item before you purchase it. See if the cashier asks “Will this purchase be on your Home Depot Account?” or “Would you like to save $25, $50, or $100 on your purchase today?” You can then pretend you forgot your wallet and say you will be back but just leave the store.
Before the Visit
• Make sure you know your assigned department for each shop you are doing.
• Make sure you take the required photos. Your shop will not be accepted without the required pictures.
During the Visit
Your assigned department: Appliances
do not visit the Pro department cashier but instead visit the regular cashier.
Your assigned department: Flooring
do not visit the Pro department cashier but instead visit the regular cashier.
Your assigned department: Seasonal(Seasonal is anything in like holiday or garden, etc.)

do not visit the Pro department cashier but instead visit the regular cashier.
Your assigned department: Pro Department
If you are assigned the Pro department you will also visit the pro cashier.
After the Visit
• You MUST submit your shop by midnight of your due date. Your shop will be overdue and up for removal the morning after your visit/due date.
• Please be sure to also check the Sassie email for any editor notes too, in case other information is also needed in your report. Failure to resubmit with the necessary information will result in your report being rejected and non-payment. Please contact your scheduler if you have any questions/issues.
• Be sure all of your comments/narratives are complete and do properly answer the questions, or support your answers, as requested in the survey
• All comments should be double-checked for spelling and grammar errors before submitting. Review your answers to ensure they match your comments. Any contradictions between your answers and the narrative will require your report being sent back to you for corrections.

IMPORTANT: Check "I Accept" for your shop to be accepted. This confirms...(1) You have read and understand all project specifications and provided materials, all information you entered is true, and this report was completed to the best of your abilities. (2) You know if the information you submit is not complete and/or in compliance with project requirements, the report will be given back to you with a notification explaining what needs correction(s). The returned report will appear in your Shop Log as an incomplete shop that you must correct and resubmit within 24 hours, or the shop may be removed from you. (3) You also understand that failure to comply with the procedures and requirements outlined in the project specifications and guidelines might result in rejection of your work and non-payment.
