The book 'Lisbon Revisited - Mosaic of the Portuguese capital' contains 12 chapters, dealing each one with a specific theme related to the city.
Each chapter is like a tile, and all those tiles together build a mosaic of the city, showing it from many different perspectives and angles, offering thus an interesting, yet personal view.
I would like to invite the reader to ‘see’ Lisbon through my eyes. I have the privilege to be simultaneously an insider and an outsider. Let me explain: I am an insider because I was born and grew up in Lisbon. I am an outsider too, since I lived abroad for approximately two decades and had to re-visit and re-discover my own home town, as if I were a stranger.
My wish to see beyond the obvious led me to do some research, and I was lucky enough to discover many fascinating details and stories I am now sharing with you.
I hope you will enjoy this preview (includes chapter 9).
Exciting reading wishes
