're sitting pretty in Jenny Blanc’s beautifully composed Teddington showroom at her UK Head Office and design rooms on Teddington High Street. Jenny has been at the helm of her award-winning interiors business for over twenty years, designing luxury homes both in the UK and Barbados, where her daughter Emma manages the business. Jenny’s career in interior design started at Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons, the two Michelin star rated restaurant and hotel near Oxford. Jenny and her then husband, Raymond Blanc, one of Britain’s most celebrated chefs, bought Le Manoir in 1981.
What was your role in creating and running Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons? “When we went to view Le Manoir, Lady Cromwell, who owned it then, asked if we had the money to buy it. I confidently replied ‘Yes, of course’ bending the truth a little as I had complete faith in us as a team being able to raise the money and together, create a wonderful success. We put together a proposal to a group of 25 or so customers from the original small restaurant in Oxford, such as Sir Tim Rice and Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, 6
