Theatre is an amazing collaborative art form combining numerous disciplines and providing opportunities for a community of committed artists and support staff — both onstage and off — to learn and practice countless valuable life skills. It is an exercise in creativity, problem solving, empathy, commitment, collaboration, and flexibility.
The Informance you are about to see tonight is an incredible example of a team committing to each other to create something beautiful despite the unexpected challenge of losing a principal character without adequate time to prepare a replacement or the ability to reschedule or postpone the production.
You will not see the full script you may have been expecting, but what you will see is the result of an incredible group of talented individuals who committed to each other, worked hard, and chose to push forward through the circumstances rather than give up.
We are proud beyond words how these young actors have persevered and, to a person, risen to the challenge. Every rehearsal, we marvel at their strength, resilience, and commitment to each other…when throwing in the towel would have been much easier.
Thank you for supporting these performers by being in the audience tonight. If you feel so moved, please consider making a donation to help offset the costs of this production and to help these kids — and others like them — to continue to find their voices and share them with the world.
love seeing
and
