Located near the “Chain of Lakes” in a central area of Pleasanton, Ironwood Estates is one of Pleasanton’s newer neighborhoods with its 71 homes built between 2005 and 2009.

The neighborhood, which is bordered by Valley and Mohr avenues, is great for families as it is in close proximity to Mohr Elementary School and Harvest Park Middle School, and Amador Valley High School is just minutes away. Being nestled next to open space and walking trails, the neighborhood boasts large lots with unique homes.

Scott Shafer and his family moved to Ironwood in 2009 because of the familyfriendly feel of the neighborhood and its proximity to the freeway.

“At the time my wife’s sister had a 2-month old child, and my wife and I were also planning on growing our family,” Shafer said. “We wanted all of the kids in the family to grow up together and close in age. The freeway to visit my sisterin-law in San Jose was near our neighborhood, and it was worth it for us to move to this area.” Larry Lin and his family have been residents of Pleasanton since 2004, and moved to the Ironwood Estates community in 2013.

“Our current home is newer, bigger, and a more affordable investment than our previous home,” Lin said. “This neighborhood is a peaceful, cozy area within this relatively small town.”

Built by Ponderosa Homes, Ironwood Estates offers three different styles of homes on lots ranging from approximately 9,000 to 16,000 square feet.

“Buying in Ironwood Estates has been one of our best decisions,” Holly Johnson, an original owner in Ironwood Estates, said. “All of the floor plans and lots are spacious. As an original owner, we’ve been able to see all of the greenscape flourish, providing private lots for each home.” In addition to abundant greenery, residents can enjoy access to a central clubhouse, pool, playground, and spacious grass area.

“Ironwood Estates is a nice community,” said resident Beth Klessel. “It’s very convenient to downtown Pleasanton as well as Livermore. We are close to both I-580 and I-680.”

“I was impressed with this new Ponderosa development established in 2005 because of its quiet location and quality of the builder’s design,” said Kris Moxley with Compass’s Pleasanton office. “Today I’m still impressed and anxious to be able to represent buyers and sellers to the Ironwood Estates.”

Spacious homes, beautiful scenery, centralization, and access to various community amenities make Ironwood Estates a neighborhood that residents can be Ironwood Estates
