Canaseraga School Page The Kindergarten-3rd grade classes delighted audiences on Dec. 14th with their rendition of “This Old Gingerbread House” written by Teresa Jennings and directed by Wendy O’Donnell. This tasty presentation is a cross between “Hansel and Gretel,” “This Old House” and “Home Improvement.” Hansel and Gretel, played by Dominick Staub and Molly O’Donnell, have taken over the mortgage of the Gingerbread House that once belonged to the Witch. Unfortunately, the woodland neighbors find the Gingerbread House to be very yummy and the temptation is too much for them. Hansel and Gretel are devastated by the damage caused to their home by the neighbors’ sweet tooth, retreat into the forest to find somewhere new to live.
Realizing that they have hurt their friends, the neighbors hire the team from “This Old Home Improvement” to come and fix up the Gingerbread House. Superstar Bob Thomas, played by Noah Sleight, and his side kick Gnorm, played by Dakota Pierce, arrive with the rest of the crew and get the Gingerbread House back to its edible glory. Hansel and Gretel return to the old neighborhood to find their home restored and throw a big party to celebrate their new old house. The students and audience learned the valuable lessons of respecting others and helping those who need a hand. Great Job!

BUS FOR SALE - $3,400 Perfectly maintained by Ontario Co. Sheriff and stored in a garage, it had 180,000 miles when I bought it this spring. 21 ft. long x 9ft. wide x 6ft. high with a fiberglass body, the bus has windows all around and the uppers open. All 6 tires are good. My mechanic says the engine and transmission are sound. It needs brakes which he says will cost under $300. There is a school bus type door for passengers, an emergency door in the back and a 4ft. wide door on the side (for a wheel chair lift?) that is perfect for loading furniture, paneling, boxes, tools, music equipment, etc. Things it has but I’ve never used include: an A/C unit on the ceiling, a heater on the floor in back and all sorts of buttons and dials on the dash. I carpeted and paneled it, used it for a camper, lived in it for 8 weeks, then hauled stuff to craft fairs. Later, I stripped it and moved furniture for a friend.
