CAREERS IN THE CLASSROOM The Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance’s Economic Impact Committee started a new initative called, “Careers in the Classroom”. The goal is to provide an opportunity for Lakewood Ranch High School Seniors to hear from local businesses and their employees about the careers available here in the region.

How does the Mentor Connect event work?

An effective mentor relationship takes time and effort for both participants. Mentor Connect is a starting point for mentors and mentees. Participants will engage in several discussions about the topics of your choosing, and you will receive instant guidance and professional development.

Prior to the event, mentees are asked to complete a survey to identify their areas of interest and pose three questions where they would like mentorship. Mentees will be paired up with three mentors in advance, based on these questions. During the event, each mentor and mentee will meet with each other for 20 minutes to discuss their predetermined questions.

The mentees will rotate stations to meet with each of their mentors and afterwards there will be time for networking, as well as food and drinks to enjoy.
