As we fold, a physical contemporary dance performance commemorates the passage of time and the cycle of life. As longevity becomes a social expectation and ageing a fear, this solo strives to prepare for all things to pass. Through organic movements, atmospheric soundscapes, and honesty, the audience is invited into a performance of self-reflection. The work questions urgency and seeks presence, as even this moment will fade.

A French-flavoured classic break performance. From the Parisian underground, we get a taste of the latest break trends with the energetic dance group Flow Killerz led by coach Paul-Gregory Pambou.
Flow Killerz is based in Paris and composed of 10 young dancers from France, England, Switzerland, Italy and Belgium. They are competing in the biggest national and international breakdance competitions.
Their coach, Paul-Gregory Pambou is one of the most influential people in breakdance in France. He is originally from Senegal and began break-dancing self-taught in France. In 2011, he created the Flow Killerz and his association Danse de vivre (Dance of life). He also created an international breakdance competition called Blow your style in 2013 and associated theatres with his project (the Theatre-Sénart). The Flow Killerz also participated in test battles for the Olympics, where breakdance is now added as a new discipline.

What happens when someone screams in the street, and no one dares to join?
Helena Alves and Mar Espona dive into the tension between expression and judgment, freedom and conformity in the duet AARGH!. Sparked by a true story, the piece zooms in on the absurdity of social norms through dance and humour. With one scream, the performers invite the audience to reflect on the unwritten rules that silence us, and ask: why are we so afraid to be loud?
The duo, Helena Alves (PT) and Mar Espona (CAT), met while studying at Copenhagen Contemporary Dance School. There, they quickly discovered their strong creative connection as both dancers and choreographers.
Their work centres around humour, simple concepts, and clear storylines. They love inviting audiences into a playful, relatable world where dance and theatre seamlessly merge.

Mark Philip is a dancer, choreographer, and the artistic co-director of Uppercut Dance Theater. He stepped into the spotlight as a dancer in the company in 2003, quickly becoming an integral force within Uppercut’s heartbeat. Bringing the raw energy of street dance, like break and capoeira, to the stage, Mark’s electrifying moves lit up both Denmark and the international scene.
Alongside Uppercut’s founder and former artistic director Cher Geurtze, Mark fueled the company’s mission to elevate break into a respected art form, while also teaching and inspiring young dancers through community outreach programs at Dans i Nordvest.
In 2016, Mark and fellow artist Stephanie Thomasen joined in steering the artistic direction of Uppercut Dance Theater. Here Mark’s signature blend of capoeira and break started merging with contemporary dance, ultimately creating groundbreaking, contemporary vibe.
