Although these lights looks beautiful on the roof line of a house, they take up lot of time and hard work to set up. If you are looking for an easier and much less time consuming way to decorate your roof line with Christmas lights without using clips, here is a step by step instruction on how to make a light-weight Christmas light holder all by yourself. Things you’ll need To create a Christmas light holder at home, the basic supplies you’ll need are a Coroboard 4x8 sheet, sharp knife, Drill with bit, C7 lights in any color and Zip ties. Step 1 Start the building process by cutting strips of the coroboard of about 5.5 inches wide and 8 feet long (this is the size we have tried, you can have your own choice). After that, cut one side of the board at 2 inches and again at 3.5 inches. However, be cautious not to cut all the way through, although just enough so that it can be folded to form a triangular shape.
