How to Make a Cedar Table with a Planter in the Middle? When it comes to choosing patio furniture, there are so many choices available out there. Yet, most people go for aluminum furniture because of its weather resistant properties. I for one have a liking for cedar patio furniture, since it has a very royal look and finish. Purchasing a cedar table can be a costly affair, so here we have tried to discuss how you can make a table from cedar with a rectangular-shaped planter sunken into the middle. Materials required –
•
Medium density fiberboard sheet
•
Western Red cedar planks
•
Plastic planter (rectangular box)
•
Screws and screw gun
•
Wood glue
•
Sandpaper
•
Wooden putty
•
Pipe clamps
•
Jig saw
•
Table saw
•
Measuring tape
•
Paintbrushes
Procedure This table you are going to make, will consist of five red cedar planks for the top, the skirting, legs and the cross brace between the legs. The medium density fiberboard sheet will be used as the template to make sure you get correct angles and measures for all the cedar pieces.
