TESTER experiments with pairings, blur and frames

This collection was primarily curated to explore pairings of photos not originally created to be showcased together. Some of these photos were created one after the other, others have been paired up based on composition or theme.

Secondly this collection explores my favourite post-processing technique: Gaussian blur, and how it can be used to enhance colours and shapes by creating a relationship between a photo and its abstracted form. Combining the images with their 'blurs' naturally led to a kind of frame, inspired by experiments by artist and friend, Meaghan Stewart.

This is the first in a series of free-form collections I intend to curate to explore my personal photography.

All images in this collection are scanned prints shot on Kodak 200 35mm film, except one (His Chair) which was shot with a disposable camera.
