PES-Architects’ winning proposal takes inspiration from the petals of a jasmine blossom, the city flower of Fuzhou. The flower is manifested in the formal lan guage and colour of the architecture takes inspiration from the petals of a jasmine blossom, the city flower of Fuzhou.
The building itself becomes a story on how the boat is being made. The user can translate the building into fragmentation of each part of the process boat-making.

A boat maker needs to go through several of years to finally create a boat which can sail to the horizon and the journey should be an experience the user must have.
The boat building craftmanship has been passed from years after years without failures as the story of boat-making continues to root deep into the Tereng ganu’s boat makers.
Each of the process are potrayed in the form of cur vature shapes and lines and resembles the traditional boat itself.
