DANI READ
Design Director
For four years, I have had the privilege of designing, growing, and evolving with the powerhouse that is Savage X Fenty. I joined Savage prior to launch, and my design point of view has been instrumental in defining the brand's aesthetic.
As Senior Designer, I designed hundreds of styles; seeing through every detail from tech pack, to trim development, to fittings.
As Design Director, I lead concept development and oversee a design team managing 200+ skus per season, with product categories ranging from bras and lingerie to hosiery and accessories.
In addition to our regular assortment, I have designed custom looks for 4 Savage X Fenty fashion shows, and a variety of music videos and performances on behalf of Savage.

Ascension Lingerie, LLC
At Ascension Lingerie, I was in charge of the global private label business. I managed every aspect from fabric to design to fit, even hiring my own fit model to improve product quality. In one short year, I drove over $1 million in revenue for this small business, designing collection for brands such as Frederick's of Hollywood, Yandy, Lovehoney, Fashion Nova, and Forever21

SELECTION OF HANDSKETCHES FOR FREDERICK'S OF HOLLYWOOD PRIVATE LABEL, 2018/19
In 2010 I started FYI, my own luxury lingerie and erotic accessories brand. Defined by the trademarked slogan "women are weapons", FYI aimed to encourage wearers to embrace their own power, danger, and allure.
Functional styles had playful purposes without sacrificing indulgence: each piece featured silk, leather, or unexpected hardware.
All garments were designed and patterned by me and produced in small runs in NYC's garment district. FYI was carried in over 20 stores in 5 countries, and featured in major publications such as V Magazine, Vice, Creem, Refinery29, Faint, Tantalum, and Inked.
