This is the architecture of fragmentation, of both form and function, that results in controlled chaos and absent of harmony.
The Project is a petrol station located on Kangundo road ,Kenya …emphasis was placed on handling circulation and traffic of the adjacent highway and the main road to Kangundo road

Key Features of Deconstructivism Architecture Style:
• Unrelated forms.
• Abstract in nature.
• Smooth exterior surfaces.
• Contrast of shapes and forms.
• Large expanses of a single material (glass, metals, stones, etc.).
• Window frames often hidden in the walls.
• Simple metal frame doors.
• Exposed materials.

In this case a concrete shell spanning over the filling station suppirted by angled columns.

The Project is a petrol station located in thika town ,Kenya …emphasis was placed on handling circulation and highlighting vernacular and cultural artifacts in the country as a traditional music and arts center

• Plain colors (cream and white ) were used to emphasize and highlight artifacts and paintings in the room.
• Counter was painted yellow To enhance its significance as a focal point and meeting area

• Implied spaces done using steel separators to create boundaries without hindering vision
• Use of laminated wood flooring as an acoustic measure to control resonance.
• Open floor plan to enhance visual continuity and socialization.
The project’s is a 3 bedroom house with emphasis on fluency in public spaces and cost efficiency

1. Kitchen area.
2. Three bedrooms.(all ensuite)
3. Open concept living area
4. 2 verandahs
5 Pantry area
• Used of keyed finish to minimize building maintenance cost by using honest finishes (keyed stone)
• Gable roof design to give the house a more traditional feel and also maximize on rainwater collection

• Description: A four bedroom mission style holiday house for a doctor that allows the occupants to live and work under the same roof.
The design consists of:
1. Home office
2. Four bedrooms.(all ensuite)
3. Open concept living area
4. 2 verandahs
5 Pantry area
• Texan style floor plan (master bedroom is on the ground floor)
• Several balconies to maximize views and rest spaces.
• Office at entrance to minimize movement of non residents to the other spaces.
Working Drawings.
The project’s main objective was to create a 50m2 space that could accommodate two guests within a 40 * 80 foot plot of land. The concept was inspired by waterfall design with a futuristic modernism approach.
The design consists of:
1. A sitting space.
2. Dining space.
3. Kitchen area.
4. Four sleeping spaces.
5. Home office
Open concept was adopted to maximize visual fluidity and homeliness
Color scheme : Black and yellow was adopted to give a homely and “cave like ambience reminiscent of river rocks and waterfalls.

Objective was to test understanding of timber joinery particularly in structure and wet floors.
Understanding of timber saw cuts and achieving them was also necessary to test the versatility of timber made forms
