WATERROUTE

The route of the water as an ntegrating system of the city becomes a constant relationship between pub ic space cu ture, dent ty and population that allows the ntegration of these actors within the urban des gn, having a balance w th the env ronment, mak ng the most of its characteristics and ts great potentia , such as the basins and the main ecological structure and the act vities that are generated in ts environment, being the protagonist in the entire des gn proposed for the sector, thus forging its own identity

The above is taken from the ex sting urban with the systems that re ate to the surrounding territory and how these are connected in turn on a sca e at the Bogotá leve , where a balance and ntegration of spaces n a l its d mensions is proposed for the mprovement of a g ven territory, giving prior ty to the environment prov ding a common thread in all ts scales, and prov d ng the community with spaces for partic pation and recreation that ead to improving the qual ty of ife with opportunities for growth

The andscape that forms the urban design is linked between nature, history and participation, conditioned by its edges and landmarks, but at the same time creatively reinterpreting a collection of episodes offered by the variety of routes proposed in a pedagogical way.

WhyintheKennedyandBosaarea?

The locality of Kennedy and the locality of Bosa are some of the localities with the greatest deficiencies in public space and facil ties, as well as being two of the most densely populated localities.

In addition to this, they are of great importance for the city for having within its outline a great extension of the main ecological structure, being a propitious space for the environmental regeneration and the cultural incentive, through the appropriation of each one of its inhabitants.

WHYINCLUDECULTURE?

It is a powerful tool to promote economic and social development to integrate communities and generate their welfare.

A space for the exchange and creation of artistic and cultural practices, as a meeting point for creators and cultural managers and as a place for coexistence and social inclusion.

The locality of Kennedy and the locality of Bosa lack cultural facilities on a large scale. These facilities increase cultural and social appropriation.

WHYINCLUDEENVIRONMENTALEDUCATION? WHYTHINKABOUTRENATURALIZATION?

It is a way to sensitize, train the community to improve the urban environment, through the recovery of green areas and public space.

It contributes to the change of social, sustainable and development model.

It raises a relationship between the park user (resident or visitor) and the environment, promotes the participation and involvement of the community.

Collaborates in the conservation of biological and cultural biodiversity.

Its inhabitants can transmit their knowledge to low visitors

It is an option to rescue the environmental and cultural memory of the community, which provides the increase of culture and environmental respect as it is currently a forgotten issue and of little interest to the population in general, which is expressed in the poor state of most of the ecological system of the city.

Managing water within the project in a playful and sustainable way increases the links between the individual and the natural environment, optimizing the management of urban rainwater and the old channeled waterways, thinking of them n an integral way, not only to give life to the park itself but also to the main ecological system of the city.

OVERALLPROPOSAL WATERROUTE

As can be seen in the graph on the previous page, for the development of the pro ect and with n the scope of the theoret cal framework, four concepts were analyzed, three of them are part of the deve opment of the pro ect in genera and one is the concept used to develop the design proposa .

The authors that were ana yzed according to their top cs were:

Equipments: Angela Maria Franco and Agust n Hernandez Aja. Ecotone: Mar e Jose Fort n and Andres cuesta Beleño.

Biomimicry: Jan ne M. Bentyus, Petra Gruber and Mabritt Peder- sen Zari. These authors according to the r f eld, provided us not on y w th informat on on the subject to be stud ed, but also some gu delines for the analysis of the territory and some key aspects for the deve opment of the project.

The analysis of the texts of each of the authors framed the way to develop and the theoretical bases of th s degree project.

APPROACHES

The approaches that are ev dent are part of some important places that we want to highl ght, such as one of the main entrances which connects with the Alameda El Porvenir thus integrating the oca ity of Kennedy with the locality of Bosa.

In the second approach that s shown is an environmental point how t is connected with the environment n a natural way and n accordance with the proposed contour lines and also the connection w th the meander ng and its green areas

Th s project is ocated on Carrera 10ª, which wil be the renovat on of the Gran San shopp ng center n order to generate a better organ zation of the most important commerce in Bogota, also having a subway station with all the appropriate services that it needs.

In addition, t s proposed to connect San Victor no as a commerc al area with the th rd m lennium park as a recreational area. This s the starting point for one of the most important areas where a mixture of uses shou d be generated along this route.

Such as hous ng, commerce, offices and more activit es that characterize it as a th rd adequate fac lities for the res dents of the area without the need to travel a long d stance.

Generate a comprehensive and dynamic proposal of uses and facilities to consolidate the sector around the subway.

- Propose housing in the sector to attract a new resident population living near the park.

Connect with pedestrian areas, roads and ecological corridors, the squares of San Victorino, El Boto, Plaza de Bolívar, Third Millennium Park, the environmental axis, among others. And Candelaria, a business center.

Funza is located n the province of sabana de Occidente, 15 km from the c ty of Bogotá t is bordered to the north by Madr d and Tenjo, to the east by Cota and Bogotá, to the south by Mosquera and to the west by Madr d. t has an urban extension of 4 kms2 and a rural extension of 66 kms2, for a total of 70 kms2. When analyzing Funza n ts total ty, we observe five important zones from which it develops (urban center, natural zonas, zones of industr es Hume- dal Gua i and Funzhe Lagoons Park)
