ulgarian born and Spanish by adoption, I am a citizen of the world. I love to constantly learn and to do so I travel a lot, and have no hesitation in embarking on new far off projects, which encourage me personally and professionally. By studying Fine Arts in Bulgaria and then absorbing the European cultural traditions, this has had a peculiar influence on my artistic creations. My greatest professional challenge was to create a studio of high craftsmanship and artistic philosophy based on the formula adopted by the old masters of artistic trade and workshops of the Middle Ages in Europe. I have adopted the same handling of artistic wisdom through a constant search for emotion.

1 The developer
The initiative of this exceptional project arose from the owners of a mansion located in the Americas. The love of beauty, and the concept that home is the refuge of the soul, drives them to look for professionals with extensive experience in similar projects. With this hope the developers contacted Daniel Yordanov and commissioned him this delicate mission.

Trompe L’oeil “Deceive the eye” is an ancient painting technique very suitable for enclosed spaces and low light. Imaginary fields of vision can be created where it is easy to confuse the real with the unreal. The trompe l´oeil helps correct the limits of the architecture and gives character to the interior. The high degree of expertise of the artist turns a corner of the house in a truly great work of art.

Imitation of the finest materials
The possibility of gaining through the Art of Painting, creating new and unimaginable exotic materials or imitate building material hard to find and handle, is one of the great advantages of Polychromy. To embellish such impressive architecture, we have reinterpreted some works of the great masters of the world of painting and adapted for the delight of the owners of the
mansion and their guests. For a perfect implementation of the huge canvases and convenience, the work was performed in the studio in Valladolid, Spain.

Decorated ceiling The original shape of this roof determined the compositional structure of the ornamental painting. We opted for monochrome motifs of elegant structure, which serves as a complement to the large crystal chandeliers. To delimit the ceiling and enhance its original form, we made a false wood inlay finished in gold leaf.

The end of the hall takes centre stage after our intervention. It ceases to be a dark corner and aesthetically unattractive. We turned a simple dark wood door in an elegant niche with a sculpture that conveys peace and harmony. We tried to make it an elegant point to stop and contemplate it like a small temple.

F
or the dÊcor we decided on false windows representing landscape fragments of amzonian flower and fauna in contrast to architectural details from the Portuguese colonial era. The trompe l´oeil technique allowed us to recreate false tiled walls and stone with niches and sculptural details.

The Gothic Hall was designed and carried out by Daniel Yordanov as a great narrative space, which by careful development, chromaticism and assortment of textures, becomes a space where nobody is unmoved.
The ornamental decoration of the room was completed after five months of continuous and intense mural painting.
For its spectacular pictorial decorations, the Gothic Hall is a multipurpose area, which is used both business and company meetings, weddings, communions and all kinds of commemorative activities.

2003
Interior room used for meetings and special events. The goal: to create a pleasant and surprising area linked with the surroundings of the hotel. Daniel Yordanov Artesanos gave a solution to this area without exterior windows, developing a large mural of eleven meters long showing the best of the estate.

An original and exotic restaurant, where through painting we create a very relaxed and informal atmosphere, mixing real objects with others painted. The customer is guided through their senses to perceive a magical world filled with creatures, animals, plants and fountains. It was painted on coarse plaster, to preserve the rustic character of the premises.

Hotel complex of over a thousand square meters, divided into to main halls, coffer bar, entrance, corridor, nightclub, kitchens and restroom.
The project was carried out in three phases by Daniel Yordanov Artesanos and in different years due to its size and complexity.

Building intended for the production and aging of fine wines, events and client reception, wine tasting, store with typical products of the area, show case of award winning wines, offices and a large dinning room.
Mural decoration in an elegant rustic style with the creation polychrome artesonado, imitation of oxidised stone arches, treatments and special techniques in borders and basrelief.
Large murals with mythological themes related to the cult and culture of wine. Crafted polychrome and gilded frames.
The complexity of this pictorial project required a long and careful preparation for its more than five hundred square meters of surface. We prepared traditional polychrome techniques and others adapted exclusively by the experts in our team.

he painting works were done in phases, allowing a progressive evolution of the project. Some motifs were painted on movable panels and later assembled like a puzzle. Others, like the frescoes on the ceiling were made in situ as well as the polychrome on the plaster and the glaze on the walls.
