Urban Tissue refers to the environmental level normally associated with urban design.

Tissue comprises coherent neighborhood morphology (open spaces, buildings) and functions (human activity).

Neighborhood exhibit recognizable patterns in the ordering of buildings, spaces and functions (themes), within which variation reinforced an organizing set of principles.

Urbs in horto invite us to reflect about the productive landscape in the “diffuse city”, considered almost as a garden, a productive one. Valorizing the hybrid spaces and unusual mix between morphologies and activities. “The happy coincidences” that are produced thanks to the proximity of many different things that converge in the same space.

Reinterpreting life cycles, taking the spaces as renewable and polyvalent resources, and re-qualify them through the logic of the nature structure, allow us to imagine radical but possible changes for a not so far and not so impossible future.

The Industrial production environments can share space and live harmoniously with neighborhood life?

The traffic roads and streets with trucks and cars can share space with soft mobility and improve life quality in the diffuse city?
