In Year 7 students engage in a carousel program with one semester of either French or Japanese. Students who have prior learning in Japanese have the option of an Extension Japanese class that runs for the whole year.
Year 9

In Year 9 students can elect to study either French or Japanese and begin to develop greater fluency by building on the foundational skills gained in previous years.

In Year 10 students can elect to continue their journey towards fluency in either French or Japanese. Or students can choose the Italian Beginners course which sets them up for success in the HSC Italian Beginners course in Year 11. Topics include:

Students have the option to choose one of two pathways: The HSC Continuers course in French or Japanese extends the Years 7-10 program, enhancing communication skills and cultural understanding through topics relevant to a young person's world.
The HSC Beginners Italian course introduces fundamental communication skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing while fostering cultural awareness. It is designed for students with no prior experience, focusing on practical topics connected to everyday life.
