2024 Dear Dandelion Friends and Families, At Dandelion, we strive to provide a creative, supportive, and healing space for all to continue -- or even get started on -their art therapy journeys. Often, growth doesn’t happen in isolation. Groups offer a community to be seen, heard, and supported. Our groups use the language of creativity as a way to connect, explore and express, while leaning into the magic of being with other people and their experiences. I believe there is “no equation” to art. So, no art experience is needed to get the most out of our groups and workshops. Our art therapists are here to guide you with materials, techniques, and your goals. You just need to bring an open mind, a little bit of wonder, and ... a readiness to move beyond words. I invite you to browse through our catalog of offerings. We are really excited to put these programs together for you, all of which are facilitated by Dandelion art therapists. I look forward to welcoming you to one of our groups in 2024!

Continued Education Dandelion CE experiences are artfully-crafted to provide individuals in the helping profession a unique and hands-on learning experience. In all of our CE experiences, creating and artmaking will be aligned with goals that will promote new perspectives within your clinical work. While these CE experiences do not qualify you as an “art therapist,” we know that your clients will benefit from your creating, learning, and growing -- and you will also reap the benefits from the art as well! No previous art making required and you don’t have to be an art therapist to attend! 16

The Art of Looking 2.0 May 31 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. 2 CEs An interactive workshop that uses public art to encourage you to stop, look, and see things in a new way – as it relates to the art and, ultimately, your clients.

Nurturing Your Therapist Part June 28 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. 2 CES During the two hours we’re together, we will help you reconnect with your authentic therapist self and, in turn, with your clients. You’ll gain new insights and fresh perspectives through: dollmaking of your therapist self, writing using creative prompts, and art therapy techniques.

Give Me A Virtual Break August 2 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. 2 CEs An experience that invites telehealth providers to step away from their computers and participate in an interactive, creative self-care experience. You will leave with three ways creativity can help reduce virtual exhaustion, a new self-care strategy to help reduce virtual burnout, and a tangible tool that can be used to help manage or prevent feeling rundown. All strategies can be used clinically with your clients. 17

Art Therapist Summer Camp July 12 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. 5 CEs For Art Therapists (only) Are making, creating, and art still at the forefront of your practice? Are you creating and making your own art? Are you connecting to art therapists within your community? If you answered “no” to any of these questions, Dandelion is offering our first ever Art Therapist Summer Camp! This is a unique experience where art therapists come together to create, connect, learn, and reinvigorate your love for art therapy. This year’s summer camp theme is centered on reconnecting to the art in our work. We will have deep, meaningful discussion about our work while engaging in the creative process.
