5A4: Make appropriate use of a range of research methods to investigate a topic and produce work relating to the critical, cultural or social context of art and design. (Knowledge & Understanding - Research and Critical Awareness)
Evidence can be found: blog Very good My research methods included collecting secondary (online, book research) and primary research (watching documentaries and visiting book stores to see work in situ etc.) These learning outcomes where important to my briefs considering they were mainly aimed at children. Examples would be aspects of the BEAR brief where one of the main requirements was that the outcomes needed to be educational. Idea generation and development of themes and concepts can be found evidenced in my responsive blog where I’ve documented my sketchbook work. A prominent example would be the YCN BEAR brief where the ability to develop a thorough concept was vital to the success and completion of the project. These skills were also an important part of the pitches that were submitted alongside my final outcomes to YCN (design boards and project statements).
