CHAPELS

This fall we were able to return to in-person chapel programs. Our preschool-6th grade students celebrated chapel with just their grade level while 7th and 8th grade students met together. For the first time in 18 months, our high school students attended chapel in person!

Students in 5th - 12th grades also have the opportunity to serve on chapel committees. Each week committee members oversee tasks such as greeting, media, praise and worship, community service and prayer. The 6th Grade Academy and Junior High has more than 60 students serving on their Team Chapel this year! We are proud of our student leaders.

Biblical Leadership 101 officially kicked off on September 14, 2021 with a lesson and small group time. Mr. Coleman Marshall, 6th-8th Principal, said he began thinking last year about developing a new leadership program for students in grades 6th-8th that focused on equipping and nurturing Biblical values in them. As he brought others in on the vision, it morphed not only into a leadership development program, but also a mentorship program too.

"Now, we have our own LCA high school students leading our 6th8th students through the curriculum we developed and created. It was a special morning, and we can't wait to see where God takes this program, " said Mr. Marshall.
