Party Planning & Set Decorating
As a creative outlet throughout high school and college, and as a means of income, I provided design, planning, construction, and coordination services to individuals and organizations holding banquets or themed parties. This served as an early introduction to the creative realization process. While the materials were simple cardboard, paint, and craft store supplies, it allowed my creativity to blossom and led to more elaborate projects as I learned and honed my skills.

Halloween
The celebration of Halloween allows me to express my creativity and use artistic skills not normally used in the practice of architecture. Set design, Conceptual Planning, Storytelling, Lighting, Effects, Prop Building, and more are combined to create highly themed environments for the enjoyment of friends, family, and neighbors. For one night only, our home is transformed from a typical 1930s Spanish house, into something much more grand, dark, and rich with thematic experience.

Prop Making & Artistic Abilities
Building off my formative work in party planning/decoration, I used my maturing creative process and growing technical skills to begin to make high-quality props for my own purposes. The ability to sketch and draw, whether from real-life references or from my own imagination, has been key to all I have worked on personally and professionally.
