Some wiring for the RT is lying on the floor with the small speaker and brackets for the RT and the handset still attached to the centre console. Dash area, controls and gear lever tidy. There is some slight cracking in the Perspex cover for the dash and the boot around the gear lever needs refixing. Overhead console with radio and headlining good. As is the rear sleeper cushion, just needs a good clean. Door panels have the normal scratches and wear around the entry/exit points and the vinyl on the drivers side door is starting to come away around the door locking mechanism. Floor coverings are tidy with an extra piece of heavy duty rubber on the drivers side to protect the existing rubber mat. Hour meter fitted showing 3240 hours. CAB EXTERIOR: Good. Some minor wear and tear around the plastic skirting on the drivers side and paint wear around the steps and entry/exit areas. Panel just below the window wipers has had a small indentation around the Hino insignia. Front mudguard has been hit, moderate indentations. Normal scratches and paint flaking on the front bumper. Otherwise cab is in pretty good condition. BODY: The steel tipping deck measures 4800mm long with a FOB hoist and its own oil reservoir. Sides are fixed with a height of 700mm, radius internal corners and a dual-swing air latched tailgate. Would appear as if the tipper has been carrying lime so unable to ascertain the condition of the tipper floor. Sides, forward and the headboard interior have a wooden covering. This covering is in a reasonably good condition. Sides have some minor indentation and tailgate has the normal indentations and scratches as well as surface rust starting to appear. MECHANICAL: The Hino engine is in a clean condition. Engine started well and ran smoothly with little emissions both hot and cold. This truck is fitted with a cardon shaft handbrake. No apparent oil leaks around the engine or transmission. GENERAL: Not a bad little tipper for its age. Some minor panel damage and the deck needs to be cleaned out. Only down side is the handbraking system.

Drivers and passengers doors have the normal scrapes and scratches around the entry/exit points and the company has put an aluminum plate on the lower half of the drivers side door panel. Floor mats non-existent and the rubber boot around the gear lever has come away from the housing. EXTERIOR PANELS: Good. BODY: Deck length on this truck is 4850mm long x 600mm high steel bodied with a FOB hoist and auxiliary hydraulic tank. Internal corners are radius with a top swing air latched tailgate. Tipping floor is in a poor condition with several splits along the seams. Indentations on both sides of chassis rails. Steel sides are showing some excessive wear and tear from carrying large rocks. MECHANICAL: The engine in this tipper is in a road dirty condition. Needed jumper assistance but once started ran well with little or no emissions both hot and cold. No apparent major oil leaks however there is some mild fuel dampness around number one injector. GENERAL COMMENTS: Not a bad tipper for its age and miles. Some work will need to be done on the tipping deck to bring it up to scratch and as this vehicle has been working in a bitumen environment, requires a good cab clean out.

BODY: The truck is fitted with a lighting tower and generator unit in inoperative condition. The generator which is mounted in the centre of the deck is a Denyo 10F powered by a 3 cylinder diesel engine. The Vendor advises that the engine runs okay however the generator unit has failed and requires investigation and overhaul. The generator serial number is 2997591 and shows 5575 hours on the clock. There is a Shinmaywa SP21R hydraulic lighting tower mounted immediately behind the cab. It has a 7m three stage hydraulic boom with hydraulic tilt on both of the light mounting brackets at the top. Also has hydraulic slew and two hydraulic stabilizer legs at the front. The hydraulics for the lighting tower are powered by a gearbox mounted PTO and hydraulic pump with a cable mechanism to engage the drive. All hydraulic functions operated as expected on a brief test. Three of the six have damaged bodies and broken lenses. All six have no bulbs. Three of the lights have been taken off and are sitting separately with the wires to these having been cut off near the main electrical junction box at the base of the boom. Immediately behind the boom is a 3650mm long timber framed flatdeck with steel chequer plate decking. The deck is basically sound however a couple of rotten boards require attention and the surface of the deck has deteriorated with blistering paint and surface rust becoming established. MECHANICAL: Engine dry and dusty - no leaks. Required jumper assistance but cold started instantly and ran well. Clean emission at idle. Some blue smoke evident at warm revs. The paint on the chassis of the truck is in poor condition having deteriorated and flaking off in places with surface rust established. There is also some minor (3mm) rust expansion between the chassis skins adjacent to the cross member over top of the transmission. GENERAL: This truck will require significant refurbishment to re-instate to operational condition but should make a worthwhile project for someone who can economically repair the generator and obtain some replacement lights. The chassis will require fresh paint and possibly attention to the expansion between the skins. Reasonably good cab and a valuable hydraulic tower assembly.

TYRES: 10.00R20 Recaps. Remaining tread: 1st axle LH 80%, RH 60%. 2nd axle - LH 80%, RH 70%. COMMENTS: This primary crushing unit comprises of an in-feed hopper, a double deck vibrating screen, a jaw crusher and two out-feed conveyors. The in-feed hopper measures 3500mm x 2200mm with fold-up extension sides and a walking floor. Material from the hopper drops directly onto a 1800mm x 800mm double deck screen. Aggregate that passes through both decks of the screen drops onto an out-feed conveyor that discharges at the rear of the trailer. Top deck tailings go into the jaw crusher. Mid deck tailings drop on to the forward out-feed conveyor belt along with the through crusher material. The jaw crusher is powered off the engine main shaft via 6 vee belts. Hydraulic pumps are powered by a live drive PTO above the engine flywheel via two belt driven layshafts. A hydraulic oil reservoir and fuel tank are mounted just behind the goose neck of the trailer. The chassis rails of the trailer are made from 380 x 100mm channel which has been plated in on the fourth side to form box sections. The main frame and superstructure around the unit is generally in very good condition although the paint has deteriorated with areas of flaking and surface rust. The only weld repairs visible are at the bottom of the box section legs that support the vibrating screen deck. There is also some doubling plates added to the box section strut supporting the screen vibration shaft. The repairs mentioned look to have been done to a good standard with no sign of further fatigue trouble. The vibrating screen and both conveyors are hydraulically driven. The walking floor on the bottom of the in-feed hopper is also hydraulically powered via a Staffa hydraulic motor and reduction box with an eccentric arm. The body of the crusher unit is made from 25mm plate and looks in good condition with no sign of fatigue or damage. The jaws of the crusher are in serviceable condition with only moderate wear evident. Bottom gap is 100mm. The engine is covered in working grime and was not tested due to flat batteries however the Vendor advises that the unit was in full work and operating well approximately 12 months ago before it was replaced with a new crushing plant. The operating speeds of the conveyors and walking floor are controlled by hydraulic flow valves mounted immediately below the pumps on the LH side of the unit. Both front and rear conveyors fold away for road transportation. 750mm wide rubber belts are well used but should still do a turn. Vee rollers etc all turn freely by hand. There are large hydraulic landing legs mounted immediately behind the goose neck and a single hydraulic stabilizer leg is mounted on the rear bumper. Some very sturdy axles at the rear have 5 spoke grease hubs on 3 leaf spring suspension with load sharing rockers. The main structure of the trailer is 11mm long with the tail end of the in-feed hopper and conveyor belt over-hanging a further 1400mm beyond the rear bumper. There are well made walkways on both sides of the trailer with good expanded mesh decking and decent handrails made from 40 x 40 box section. This unit will require some minor refurbishment to reinstate to full operation condition and would benefit from a fresh coat of paint but looks complete and in functional condition. This jaw crusher was used as a primary unit and the forward out-feed belt discharged into the closed circuit screening plant which is also offered for sale in this tender. PLEASE NOTE: This crushing plant is offered as a complete set of three units comprising of the Primary Crusher (Page 43), Screening Plant and Hammer Mill (Page 44) and a Caterpillar Genset mounted on a Mitsubishi Truck (Page 45). TYRES: 9.00 x 20 Singles. Recaps with 80% to 90% remaining tread. COMMENTS: This unit is a secondary closed circuit screening plant comprising of a in-feed hopper, a hammer mill and twin deck vibrating screen. The in-feed hopper is mounted approximately in the middle of the unit and has a swing-over gate in the centre so that material can be directed in the first instance to either the screen or the hammer mill at the other end. The vibrating screen bed is 3000mm long x 1000mm wide and only the top deck is in current use. Through screen material goes to the forward out-feed conveyor. Top deck tailings drop onto the incline belt feeding the hammer mill. Mid deck tailings go onto a small side mount out-feed conveyor. The four conveyors, vibrating screen and hammer mill are all powered by electric motors. The lower part of the in-feed hopper and the hopper below the screen have had several patch repairs carried out to a good standard. The 500mm wide recirculation belt that feeds the hammer mill is in near new condition. Vee rollers etc all good. The 600mm wide screen feed belt has moderate wear but is still in good condition. The 650mm wide forward out-feed conveyor belt is well used and approaching time for replacement. The conveyor chassis’ are built from 100 x 50 channel and 100 x 50 box section. The drive motors complete with inline reduction boxes look to be fairly late model units. The body of the hammer mill is built from 25mm plate and has a few weld repairs but generally appears in sound condition. The hammer mill is powered by a very large electric motor - unable to find any manufacturers label but would estimate to be 30kw. There is no inspection port to look inside the hammer mill. The plant is mounted on a semi trailer unit. The chassis is built from 300mm x 90mm channel. There are hydraulic landing legs just behind the goose neck and heavy duty box section swing-down legs to carry the front end of the plant when it is in use. The rear suspension comprises of stub axles with 8 stud grease hubs on walking beams. The centre axis of the walking beams is mounted directly onto the chassis rails. The trailer frame and superstructure of the plant are in good condition. The paint has aged and flaked with surface rust becoming established in some places but no major rust or fatigue evident. One crack requires a weld at the base of the box section frame where a winch is mounted to raise and lower the forward out-feed conveyor. Generally appears a tidy and functional machine that was taken out of work approximately 12 months ago due to the arrival of a new plant. It was used as a secondary screen being supplied by the primary crusher unit which is also offered for sale in this tender. Would benefit from a sand blast and fresh coat of paint. The roof is made from corrugated iron and this requires re-securing in some places. Timber decking basically sound - just a couple of broken boards. The interior lining is in poor and scruffy condition. The main value in this unit is sitting inside the back and this is a Caterpillar 125KVA generator. The generator is mounted on a steel skid base built from 150 x 75 channel. Powered by a 3208T V8 Caterpillar engine. The generator control console and instruments etc are in clean and tidy condition. The engine is a little work dirty but has no visible leaks. Cold started instantly and ran smoothly with clean emission. An exhaust muffler is mounted directly onto the turbo and then piped outside the truck canopy. Fuel is supplied by two 400 litre steel reservoirs which are mounted inside the canopy at both front corners. The fuel reservoirs are interconnected by top and bottom pipes. The manufacturers label on the generator reads Model SR4. Serial No 5N9089. 3 phase. 10 wire. Continuous rating 125 KVA. 100KW. 0.8PF. Overload capacity 110% for 2 hours. A very tidy generator in good working condition used to power the closed circuit screening plant also offered in this Tender. Outlets comprise of one 65 amp 5 pin plug. Two 30 amp Rayrole plugs and one 10 amp single phase plug. MECHANICAL: The truck engine is reasonably clean and dry. Minor fuel leak at the hand primer pump on the side of the injector pump. Cold started instantly and ran well with clean emission. GENERAL: The main value in this unit is obviously in the generator set in the back. The truck canopy provides a handy shelter for the Genset along with some parts storage for the screening plant. The truck seems to run as expected but is well below roadworthy condition. Possibly worthwhile to replace the cab and carry out some tidy up work inside the canopy body. PLEASE NOTE: This crushing plant is offered as a complete set of three units comprising of the Primary Crusher (Page 43), Screening Plant and Hammer Mill (Page 44) and a Caterpillar Genset mounted on a Mitsubishi Truck (Page 45). Tenders will only be considered for the three items combined.

OPERATORS AREA: The machine has a small platform at the rear where the operator stands to maneuver the unit in to position. Two simple levers control the hydraulic drive on the rear axle and the hydraulic steering on the front tricycle wheel. A further control console is situated at the front of the machine and this is where the operator controls the vacuum pump and winching equipment. This console is in tidy condition. The trim securing the glass on the line pull gauge needs to be resecured. The controls comprise on an on / off switch for the vacuum pump, forward / reverse lever for the winch with

a variable speed control. The front control console has a fold-down lid. EXTERIOR PANELS: All of the bodywork around the machine is in tidy condition with no notable rust or damage. Paintwork presentable with some stone chips and minor surface rust on the front panels and a few work related scrapes and scratches. FUNCTIONAL EQUIPMENT: The V twin petrol engine is direct coupled to a master hydraulic pump and also has a twin belt Vee pulley to drive the vacuum pump via a layshaft. The hydraulic pump powers a small hydraulic motor on the rear axle and a further hydraulic motor to drive the winch at the front of the machine. Within the area covered by the cabinet, a vacuum tank is mounted at the front with a hydraulic oil reservoir, water filter tank in the centre and the motor and vacuum pump towards the rear. The machine is used to pull cables into underground conduit. Firstly a parachute plug is drawn through the conduit by vacuum and this has a pilot cord attached which can then be pulled by the fleeting wheel on the winch to drag through a rope followed by whatever cables are being placed. The winch has a quick detach aluminum fleeting drum and a standard capstan drum also. The whole machine is self-propelled for positing on the job with a tricycle steering front axle. MECHANICAL: The engine is work dirty but no notable leaks. Cold started instantly and ran smoothly with clean emission. The vacuum pump and winch operated as expected on a brief test. The Vendor advises that the electrics on the engine are not charging so the battery goes flat over a period of time but otherwise the machine is in top working condition. GENERAL: This is a tidy cable pulling device that comes complete with its own purpose built tilt-deck transporter trailer. The trailer is completely galvanized and the deck measures 1870mm wide (inside) by 3400mm long. The trailer deck has main runners built from 75 x 40 box section with 50 x 50 box section cross members at 600mm centres. 50 x 50 box section axle on standard spring suspension. 1 7/8 inch Inertia tow coupling with disc brakes on the wheels. Paintwork generally presentable - some heavy scratches and rub marks around lower regions and the paint is flaking off with surface rust becoming established on the LH side cab panel and the top of the engine bonnet. FUNCTIONAL EQUIPMENT: The machine is designed to wet scrub footpaths. There are two 1200mm wide rotary brooms underneath and a water spray bar. There is a further swing-out kerb and channel brush on the front RH corner of the machine. A curved vacuum foot occupies the full width at the rear and this sucks up the scrub waste and directs it into a holding tank. MECHANICAL: Engine clean and dry with no visible leaks. Cold started and ran well although there was a fair bit of blue smoke emission on cold start and this did not clear once the engine had warmed up. The vendor advises that the machine has been in day to day use and has been working well however the engine is starting to use oil and they suspect that it is due for new rings. The transmission provides instantaneous forward and reverse by a heel and toe action on a single accelerator pedal. The wheels are a tricycle configuration with a single steering wheel at the front for very tight maneuvering. GENERAL: Included with the machine is a purpose built tilt-deck transporter trailer. The trailer is 2004 Local build. Reg expiry Oct 2010. WOF expiry Feb 2011. The main chassis rails and A-frame drawbar are built from 50 x 100 box section.
