The Dallas County Medical Society and the Texas Medical Association Resident and Fellow Section proudly endorse Kyle Weinstein, MD, for Resident & Fellow Section Alternate Delegate to the Texas Delegation to the American Medical Association.
Dr. Weinstein is a third-year internal medicine resident at Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas and currently serves as Chair of the Texas Medical Association Resident and Fellow Section. He has been actively involved in organized medicine since beginning residency and has served as a TMA delegate each year, contributing to policy discussions and advocacy efforts at both the state and local levels.
Within the Dallas County Medical Society, Dr. Weinstein has been engaged in grassroots advocacy, including participation in legislative meetings and ongoing involvement in local advocacy initiatives. His work reflects a sustained commitment to advancing policies that support both patients and physicians.
At the institutional level, Dr. Weinstein serves as the resident representative to the Graduate Medical Education Committee, where he advocates for trainee needs and contributes to decisions impacting residency training and physician well-being. He is also actively involved in hospital operations through participation on the Code Blue Committee. He leads educational initiatives and organizes training sessions for residents and rapid response teams to improve coordination and patient care during critical events.
Dr. Weinstein was born and raised in Dallas and is proud to train and serve in the community that shaped him. His clinical interests include internal medicine and palliative care, with a focus on patient-centered care and thoughtful decision-making during serious illness.
As a physician in training, Dr. Weinstein brings a frontline perspective to organized medicine. His experiences at the bedside, combined with his leadership in the Resident and Fellow Section, position him to effectively represent trainees and early-career physicians within the Texas Delegation.
Personal Statement
I have been involved in organized medicine since the beginning of my training because I believe advocacy is a responsibility that extends beyond the bedside. As Chair of the Resident and Fellow Section, I have worked to ensure that trainees have a meaningful voice in shaping policy. I hope to continue that work at the AMA by representing the perspectives of physicians in training while strengthening the voice of Texas physicians nationally.
