COURSE CONDITIONS

This spring both our Blue and Gold Courses are in good condition. We have seen a few areas that are filling in slower than others from the winter months. These areas include the Gold Tee Boxes, as well as bunker faces on both courses. Since the ground temperature has warmed up, we have seen very good recovery. Our weed control has had good success this spring and we look forward to future improvements in our herbicide treatments. Earlier this season, we applied a Fire Ant treatment that has eliminated most of these pests.

We have planted several thousand square feet of Tiff Tuff Bermuda Grass which has superior shade and drought tolerance. All the areas on the courses that need grass have been identified and then prioritized beginning with the areas that effect play the most. This will be an on-going process and we will continue with more planting next spring.
