President’s Letter
A Letter from the President Warren Sibley
What an auspicious beginning to the summer season. What seemed virtually impossible a few weeks ago: pool opening, summer camps starting, and Friday concerts, is now a reality. We are so pleased we were able to open for Memorial Day, albeit in a reduced capacity, and begin our pool service. The Governor’s new orders now allow for summer camps to begin. Our executive staff is now busy in preparations for an exciting summer.
While we are not completely to a level “green” quite yet, we do want to take time to thank the membership for your flexibility, patience and words of encouragement. Our golf courses have been full and tee times hard to come by. The fact that many of you have complied with our request that all who can walk, coupled with only single riders in carts has, at times, led to a disparity in pace of play - walkers in front of carts with only one golfer. Other than a few exceptions, everyone seems to be adapting to this new rhythm pretty well. of factors, including availability of product. However, Phil Callahan and Chef Mark Ellis have received numerous notes thanking them for the meals, creativity and service. You have also adapted to our current pool guidelines and reservations system allowing for as many as possible to use the pool while abiding by current standards. Lastly, thank you for the kind words and respect you have shared and shown our employees. Many live in multi-generational homes and their safety is not only important for them individually, but for their family as a whole. The safety of our employees and members is paramount. Thank you for your continued patience.
As we move forward, we will lean on your understanding a bit more. We cannot promise that everything we do will “work” or be perfect, only that we are doing what we can to serve everyone’s best interest. Look for updates to our service and “opening schedules” as we move forward to a full and open Club. In the meantime, we hope to see you enjoying the Club!
