Whether you are looking to host your ceremony and reception, or only your reception at the Dallas Arboretum, we have the perfect setting for you
Of our four reception venues, two are indoor and two are outdoor garden venues All of our receptions venues come paired with beautiful gardens to host your ceremony or greet your guests for cocktail hour
Our ceremony and reception venues are available 7 days a week. Each paired garden is complimentary with the rental of the reception venue
Host your celebration from Sunday through Friday and take advantage of a 30% discount on the rental fee.
Rosine Hall, one of our indoor venues, is the perfect place to host up to 300 guests seated with a band, up to 350 guests seated with a DJ or up to 500 guests for a cocktail style reception.
Your ceremony can take place in one of our designated garden areas: Jonsson Color Garden C, under the tree, or in Crape Myrtle Allee. Ceremony location is selected at the time of booking, though please note that Crape Myrtle Allee is subject to availability
Rosine Hall rental includes access from 2 PM to 12 AM, with access to the Private Dressing Room (bridal suite) beginning at 2 PM on Saturdays and 3PM on Fridays and the Meadows Classroom (Groom’s and vendors’ room) at 3 PM-4 PM. If you ’ re hosting a ceremony onsite, we recommend a 5:30 PM start time Vendor access to your ceremony garden or cocktail hour location begins at 4 PM

The DeGolyer Loggia, the patio of our historic DeGolyer Estate, an outdoor venue with lake views, hosts up to 200 guests seated with a band, up to 225 seated with a DJ or up to 250 for a cocktail style reception

{PAIRS WITH CAMP HOUSE LAWN, LAY FAMILY GARDEN, TRES AMIGAS AND SECRET GARDEN }
The Alex Camp House is Dallas’s premier garden venue. This lovely outdoor venue, with lake views behind the historic Alex Camp House, hosts up to 200 guests seated with a band, up to 230 seated with a DJ or up to 300 for a cocktail style reception.
Your ceremony and cocktail hour can take place in Lay Family Garden, Secret Garden, the Grotto and Koi Pond or Tres Amigas.
The Alex Camp House rental includes access from 10 AM to 11:30 PM, with access to the bridal suite beginning at 10 AM and the Groom’s room at 12 PM. If you ’ re hosting a ceremony onsite, we recommend a 5:30 PM start time. Vendor access to your ceremony garden or cocktail hour location begins at 4 PM.

Your rental includes a dedicated Wedding Sales Manager who will serve as your primary point of contact up until your wedding day. Approximately 45 days prior to the event, they will schedule an in person final details meeting and assist with creating your event layout.
Your rental includes a dedicated Event Facilitator who will serve as your primary point of contact on the wedding day. The Event Facilitators are not wedding planners. They are responsible for assisting the vendors with load in, as well as the venue and garden needs.
Admission for all guests and vendors on the wedding day.
Outdoor string lighting is a required add on over the DeGolyer Loggia and over the Camp House turf. Contact your sales manager for more information.
White garden chairs are included with in all of our ceremony gardens.
Rosine Hall comes with up to 30-72" round tables, 12-6' rectangle tables, 4 cocktail tables, 1 to 2-48" rounds for the cakes and oak chivari chairs.
A Tasteful Place comes with up to 12-60" round tables, 12-6' rectangle tables, 4 cocktail tables, 1 to 2-48" rounds for the cakes and oak chivari chairs.
During Dallas Blooms, from the end of February to early April, we have tulips all throughout the garden They will bloom during that time period, but no exact time can be guaranteed During Fall Festival, from mid-September to the first of November, there are pumpkins in select locations throughout the garden We try to keep these in the main public areas and away from our wedding ceremony sites There will be pumpkins in the circular drive of the Alex Camp House, in the entry plaza of Rosine Hall, down the Paseo from Rosine Hall to the Alex Camp House, on the stairs of the DeGolyer Pergola, in the circular drive of the DeGolyer Estate and a few throughout Potegar’s Garden The locations of pumpkins are subject to change year to year Our pumpkin village is located behind Jonsson Color Garden and visible from the garden During Holiday at the Arboretum, from November to December, we are open to the public in the evening. When we are open to the public, we stanchion around your rented venue. We do have holiday decorations on the inside and outside of Alex Camp House, inside the DeGolyer Loggia tent, and inside Rosine Hall. There is also lighting wrapped around many of the trees throughout the garden. As holiday decorations are subject to change from year to year, we can’t guarantee what will be installed and where it will be installed. Seasonal art exhibits rotate throughout the garden, throughout the year. They change year to year. This art is present in many of our gardens and cannot be moved.
While our venues operate as private event spaces, the garden reserves the right to remain open to the public during a contracted event In such instances, all areas included in the Client’s rental agreement will be clearly marked and stanchioned off to ensure privacy and minimize disruption Public access will be restricted from these designated areas, and the Venue will make reasonable efforts to preserve the atmosphere, privacy, and overall experience of the event
The only rain plan option for the DeGolyer Loggia and the Alex Camp House is to rent a tent through our exclusive vendor, Big D Party Rentals Tent prices start at approximately $14,000 and vary based on size, style, and additional features You must contact Big D directly for a quote, which will be shared with us Payment will be processed through your client portal, and installation will be scheduled once full payment is received
You have until the Monday prior to your wedding date to confirm tent installation Requests made after this deadline cannot be guaranteed Tents are installed on Tuesdays or Wednesdays and removed the following Tuesday If another wedding or event has reserved a tent for the week of your event, you will be required to use a complimentary tent provided by the Arboretum
Please note that a tent-free environment cannot be guaranteed For additional details, contact your sales manager for a copy of the Tent FAQ
If the rain plan is activated, the ceremony will be held under the tent with guests seated at their reception tables, and the couple will be married on the dance floor Please note, the space is not reconfigured between the ceremony and reception
Any changes to the rain plan must be submitted by 12 PM the day before the wedding
The DeGolyer Loggia offers an intimate covered patio area, while the Alex Camp House includes a 20' x 40' terrace tent available during peak months March through May and September through December each accommodating up to 80 guests
For Rosine Hall and A Tasteful Place, the rain plan entails relocating the ceremony indoors, with guests seated at their reception tables and the couple exchanging vows on the dance floor
Please note that the space is not rearranged between the ceremony and reception
In accordance with the City of Dallas Noise Ordinance, all amplified music from DJs and bands must conclude by 10:30 PM at the DeGolyer Loggia and the Alex Camp House After this time, only acoustic string music and silent disco are permitted outdoors at these locations Amplified music may continue indoors at Rosine Hall and A Tasteful Place until 12 AM All live music and band arrangements must be approved prior to signing the contract, as the Dallas Arboretum strictly enforces the City of Dallas ordinance limiting outdoor sound levels to a maximum of 55 decibels Additionally, sound checks for outdoor DJs and bands are only permitted between 4 PM and 5 PM to avoid disruption to daytime garden guests
Delivery vehicles including those of vendors, family members, and guests are not permitted to drive up to the DeGolyer Estate or the Alex Camp House prior to 6 PM After 6 PM, vehicles may only access these areas with prior security clearance Catering trucks are permitted to drive up at any time, provided they are escorted by a Dallas Arboretum Event Facilitator or security personnel All vendors are required to bring their own carts and dollies for load-in and load-out, as the Arboretum does not supply these items
The Dallas Arboretum is a no open-flame property Smoking, fireworks, sparklers, and any form of open flame are strictly prohibited Only battery-operated LED candles are permitted The following items are also not allowed on property: tacks, staples, tape, awnings, EZ-ups, gazebos, balloons, birdseed, rice, confetti, streamers and artificial rose petals If rose petals are used, they must be real and limited to white or ivory only All petals must be fully cleaned up at the conclusion of the event; failure to do so will result in a $250 cleaning fee removed from the security deposit
All ceremonies and receptions are required to hire a planner or day-of coordinator to oversee and coordinate the production of the wedding day
Outside catering is strictly prohibited All private events must be serviced by one of the Dallas Arboretum’s approved catering partners However, clients are welcome to bring in or arrange for an outside vendor to provide cakes or desserts Our approved caterers are experienced in accommodating a wide range of dietary needs, cultural preferences and catering styles to ensure a customized and seamless dining experience.
You may supply your own alcohol or arrange for delivery through a licensed retailer. However, if you choose to do so, a corkage fee will be applied based on your final guest count. Please note that all alcohol regardless of the source must be served by a TABC-certified bartender provided by your contracted caterer.
The Arboretum exclusively uses Big D Party Rentals for tenting and outdoor lighting. For more details, please contact your Wedding Sales Manager. Tenting, catering, valet services and outdoor lighting must be booked through our approved vendors. All other vendors may be selected at your discretion.
All vendors may access the venue beginning at the official start time of your contracted rental period. Early drop-off or setup is not permitted. All vendor items must be fully removed by the end of the rental time. Vendors are required to use their own carts or dollies for load-in and loadout, as these are not provided by the Arboretum. Vendors are responsible for providing their own labor for setup and tear down. Access to ceremony gardens and cocktail hour spaces is granted no earlier than 4 PM.
As a nonprofit organization, we do not charge tax or service fees on the venue rental However, a 2% convenience fee applies for all electronic payments made by credit or debit card
Additional rental hours may be added, as available, for an extra fee.
It may be possible to add setup time for your vendors; please note that the earliest access to the DeGolyer Loggia is 4 PM. For Rosine Hall and A Tasteful Place rentals, one additional hour may be added at the end of your event, but receptions must conclude by midnight, with cleanup completed by 1 AM.
Additional tables beyond the included quantity are available for $10 each. The Arboretum offers a selection of in-house rental items including dance floors (available at Rosine Hall and A Tasteful Place), a stage (available at Rosine Hall) and farm tables All can be rented for an additional fee Please consult your Wedding Sales Manager for pricing and availability
Both DeGolyer Loggia and Alex Camp House require outdoor string lighting, provided exclusively by Big D Party Rentals Customizations and upgrades are available through Big D Party Rentals
Events extending beyond the contracted rental time will incur an overtime charge of $600 per hour, which will be deducted from your refundable deposit
If you plan to provide your own alcohol, a corkage fee between $500 and $2,500 based on guest count will be applied All alcohol deliveries, whether arranged by you or a retailer, must occur during your contracted rental hours
Garden tents are not included for the DeGolyer Loggia or Alex Camp House and must be rented through our exclusive tent company, Big D Party Rentals.
A professional wedding planner or coordinator with proof of insurance is required for all events, at the client’s expense.
Any damage to the grounds or property will result in fees deducted from your refundable security deposit.
In the event that your guest count exceeds the contracted amount for valet parking, you will be invoiced for the additional parking needs
Payments can be made by credit card, cash, or check by mail Please note that we do not process payments automatically you will need to submit each payment manually The security deposit is fully refundable, provided there are no damages to the venue or gardens It will be returned via mailed check within 30 days to the contract holder However, failure to adhere to the agreed-upon venue and garden access times by you or your planner may result in forfeiture of the deposit
Once your contract is signed and your initial payment has been received, the next step is to begin securing your vendors.
As your wedding date approaches, your Wedding Sales Manager will reach out to schedule your in-person final detail meeting, typically held 4–6 weeks before your event. During this meeting, you'll review the venue layout and have the opportunity to ask any questions. A copy of the layout will be provided for your reference.
In addition, your Wedding Sales Manager will email you a vendor form and planner agreement, which must be completed and signed by you or your planner. These documents are due no later than 14 days prior to your wedding.
If you would like to visit the Arboretum after your contract is signed and before your final detail meeting, we are happy to offer complimentary Family Membership.
