Partner Guide
Q1 FY 2023/24
We help you do business easily

We help you do business easily
We're now at the start of a new financial year. It seems astonishing how quickly it’s come around. Within Daisy Partner Business, we've had our best year ever. I must thank each and every one of our partners who've contributed to that success by delivering a broader range of solutions to their customers than ever before.
Moving into this financial year, the size of the opportunity facing us all is absolutely huge. We're terming this the digital gold rush. It’s a collision of two seismic technological changes that are already hitting the marketplace and affecting customers.
First, we've got the retirement of the copper network which will be completed in December 2025. But I don't want to look that far ahead. Come this September, the entire nation will have entered a stop sell of PSTN lines. Customers will no longer be able to make changes to their estate, add new users or move their services from one premise to another. In addition, if customers experience a fault on the line, that fault will be unsupported and it'll come down to the customer tomigrate across to new technology in order to rectify that issue.
It may sound like a very negative scenario, but it presents a huge opportunity. All customers will need to move from traditional PSTN technology to digital IPbased services, which includes around 6 million SMEs in the UK. With a gold rush mentality, we can capitalise on the situation, go out and win our share.
The second technological change concerns mobile and the sunsetting of the 2G and 3G networks which is already upon us. Vodafone is committed to retiring its 3G network by the end of 2023 and EE is expected to follow suit by the middle of 2024. There’s an estimated 5.5 million 3G SIMs in the market and many are sitting in static devices rather than mobile handsets. While there's never been huge motivation to swap out those SIMs before, anything that relies on 3G connectivity will now have to be transitioned.
Another opportunity surrounding mobile data comes from its ability to support additional applications such as telemetry. There are thousands of enabled fleets on our roads every single day and their managers need insights into what’s happening in their fleet, driver behaviour and how the vehicles are performing.
When we combine the elements of the digital gold rush opportunities together, they present an immense £13 billion market. How do we tackle that? At Daisy Partner Business, we've got a number of tools at our disposal. IP telephony is the natural replacement for any service that requires voice and emerging technology such as intelligent mobile data sitting on an IoT platform will also spread rapidly.
We also need to change the conversations we're having with customers and move away from the price-sensitive, cost-driven market we’ve found ourselves in. We know that there are challenges within the economy, but investments into new technologies are a prerequisite for businesses. While they may be looking at ways of cutting costs elsewhere, future-proof connectivity will be essential. Providers must be able to understand the dynamic within an organisation and discover their needs and challenges. Tailoring connected technologies to satisfy specific needs will also provide more ingrained service that customers will truly appreciate.
To be able to take full advantage of the digital gold rush, we all need to free up time to understand it and its details, and to have broader, deeper conversations with customers. That's one of the key reasons we launched the Daisy Partner Academy late last year. Not only is it about providing information on products, services and skills to improve the running of your business and develop your people, it's about sharing smarter ways of working to buy time back, allowing you to focus on how your business is positioned in this digital gold rush.
2023/24 is a hugely exciting year for all of us.
I'm approaching it with confidence and with real determination that as Daisy Partner Business, we will be at the forefront of it supporting our partners to achieve successful growth, gaining share and increasing footprint within their local business communities.
Once again, thank you for the past 12 months. My commitment to you is that we’ll make a real contribution to your business and help you achieve successful growth. As always, the team is on hand to support you. And finally, as ever, thank you for choosing Daisy.
Julien Parven Director of Partner BusinessWe’re
The copper Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) is retiring, entering stop sell in 2023 and switching off in 2025. There are up to 6 million UK SME businesses needing connectivity on the new fibre network – and upgrading to digital voice. That’s roughly a £13bn opportunity to cash in.
Vodafone is switching off its 3G networks in 2023, with EE and Three following in 2024. Any devices, from phones to alarms, that are 3G-only need upgrading and fast. Ofcom estimates that 5.5 million mobile phone customers are still using 2G and 3G devices. We segment the marketplace, position new technologies and distribute the opportunities. Placing our partners at the forefront of this digital transformation, you can focus on being the tip of the spear to cut through the competition and win share. We bring the rest.
in the midst of a digital gold rush, with massive opportunity to capitalise.
We work with partners to understand their businesses and their business goals. For those looking to build and grow, we have the support infrastructure in place. We can create models where partners sell to and deliver customers back to us to generate cash flow, and we also offer an exit strategy for those partners looking to realise the investment in their businesses.
We have Tier 1 vendor relations that enable us to build and deliver exclusive propositions and promotions.
We are founded in channel and have consistently been a huge channel advocate throughout our 21 years.
We offer a range of flexible tariffs and commercial terms that offer value to customers and generate revenues for partners.
Our size and scale ensure that we will always remain competitive and ahead of the market, thereby ensuring that you will too.
Our partner proposition covers all aspects of business telecoms, presented in simple packages without unnecessary distractions.
Our commercial models are equally as flexible with a combination of up-front and residual commissions.
Whether you’re setting up in business having previously worked in telecoms, or you’re an established business selling a range of business utilities and financial services, our sales agent model allows you to concentrate on customer acquisition while we take care of the rest.
Our partnering model encourages partners to build long-term relationships with their customers, while creating an ongoing residual revenue stream. We will support you and your customers throughout but the frontline customer relationship management is owned by you.
Whether you’re a huge contact centre selling utilities, insurance, financial services and more, or you’re a smaller size outfit wanting to offer your customers more flexibility when it comes to communications solutions, we’ve got deals to suit every size of contact centre.
At Daisy Partner Business, we know the importance of having a partner who understands the channel, is progressive and resilient through times of change, and enjoys the support of the industry’s leading providers. We constantly strive to provide security and encouragement to new entrants while also giving established outfits the ability to grow and means to move on for those with a departure plan.
We’re proud that we’ve supported you and your customers through times of rapid change, particularly in recent years, whether it’s been helping adopt new technology or to adapt to new ways of working.
Providing your customers with this dedicated support and service requires continual investment in our people and systems. This means we may have to review our prices when our base costs are amended by suppliers or impacted by inflation.
Many of our suppliers and partners have increased their prices. We appreciate that price changes are never welcome, particularly at such a challenging time, and we do our best to protect your customers by absorbing these increases where we can. However, some of the incurred costs must be passed on to ensure we can maintain our solutions and preserve our excellent service. We want to ensure businesses stay future-proofed by providing a broad choice of products underpinned by the best possible providers and support.
Daisy Partner Business is committed to providing solutions that keep businesses connected to their customers, suppliers and colleagues.
Our commercial proposition has been built with flexibility and adaptability in mind.
The proposition is designed to allow partners to apply discounts to the standard service RRP in order to compete where required, or to uplift the Monthly Recurring Charge (MRC) to enhance earnings. In either instance there is an impact upon the commission / revenue, downwardly where a discount has been applied and uplifted where the MRC has been increased.
Please note: all upfront commissions will be paid upfront for 24 months and subsequent years will be paid on the anniversary of the contract for each additional year, i.e. a 36 month contract will receive 24 months upfront, and an additional 12 month payment in month 25.
Ensure your customers are ready for the PSTN switch off with our hosted voice solutions. Offer feature-rich phone systems for more flexibility and better productivity.

It’s also future-proof – the service will be unaffected by the PSTN Switch Off in 2025.

All customers need is an email to get started and, once they’ve downloaded the app or soft client to their desired devices, they can start making and receiving calls right away. The new model is based around a residual monthly commission, paid over the duration of the full contract term, with the rates of revenue share for both O2 and Vodafone enhanced.
Vodafone Red tariffs have now come to an end and Daisy Eureka and Select & Share are no longer available for new business.
Existing customers may upgrade providing there is an uplift in ARPU. Additional connections may still be added to existing accounts.
Daisy Voda Fusion is our newly launched tariff available exclusively on the Vodafone network. Built like a single user tariff, Daisy Voda Fusion gives all users access to Unlimited calls, texts and allowance of data. However, unlike standard single user tariffs, it will also give users access to shared data.

Having internet access and staying connected are essential requirements for modern businesses. Downtime is simply not an option and pressure on networks is constantly increasing. In the new digital world of business, where cloud-based technologies are becoming more common, high-bandwidth, scalable connectivity solutions are required to work more efficiently and productively.
Ethernet
Ethernet connectivity is a dedicated connection that is delivered direct to a business, offering security, reliability and a dedicated bandwidth, with guaranteed symmetrical speeds and service levels.
MPLS
Links together offices, data centres, disaster recovery sites and home / remote / mobile workers, for improved quality of communications between sites. It is a single voice solution across all business locations and provides increased opportunity to utilise Cloud based applications.
EFM
Offers a cost effective way to improve your customers’ connectivity, with faster speeds, SDSL, leased line and low-end Ethernet.
FTTP
The first full-fibre broadband product, offering speeds up to 1Gbps and significant increases in reliability compared to copper based services such as SOGEA, FTTC and ADSL.
• Business effectiveness
• Cloud effectiveness
• Cost management
• Productivity efficiencies
• Sales / service delivery
• Customer experience
• Business continuity
• Control of data and security
Similar to FTTC below, SOGEA uses the same technology but removes the need for a telephone service meaning customers can benefit from a single order broadband and save on the cost of an often unused or unwanted telephone service. SOGEA is also unaffected by the 2025 PSTN Switch Off which will impact both FTTC and ADSL services.
FTTC uses a new or existing copper telephone line to deliver a cost effective broadband solution. Utilising fibre cabling from the telephone cabinet to the local exchange, FTTC provides higher speeds and a more reliable service than traditional ADSL.
An easy access, cost effective solution, perfect for web access and emails. The service is provided via the same network that carries analogue telephone calls.
• Desk based support for ADSL / FTTC checks
• Access to data pricing tool to allow you to check for EFM/Ethernet availability and pricing
• Carrier agnostic meaning we can be competitive in any area of the country
• Presales, network design and on site sales support from our team of highly qualified specialists
• 24 / 7 / 365 UK based customer support
• Public Sector can buy products and services through Direct Award on all 10 lots of the RM1045 framework.
• The UK is second only to the US in terms of global cybercrime - instances where a business is affected through having its online services hacked and flooded with malicious traffic
• The average cost of a DDoS attack to a UK SMB is estimated to be in excess of £45,000*.
• To counter this increasing threat, Daisy has included its Daisy DDoS Protection (DDP) premium service to shield all of our customers that take internet-based services from the most common types of cyber-attacks.
• Customers will automatically be protected with Daisy’s DDP Standard providing a 24/7/365 monitoring and protection service

ITS is an industry leader providing UK businesses with ultrafast connectivity and broadband through its own infrastructure, with a vision to create a nationwide fibre network that maximises speed and efficiency.
FibreBright is an assured full fibre service which differs from conventional broadband services that offer a shared capacity. FibreBright offers assured symmetrical bandwidth capacities of up to 10 Gbps and beyond.
The service consists of a bearer circuit (usually 1 Gbps, or 10 Gbps) with a dedicated amount of internet capacity. This means that a 100/1000 service, for instance, offers 100 Mbps of dedicated internet capacity within a 1 Gbps bearer. Once provided, upgrades can rapidly be made remotely to upgrade capacity upon demand. This suits businesses that need assured capacity and have a high utilisation for services such as the Public Cloud.
FibreLight is a cost-effective, gigabit capable full fibre broadband solution. It’s a symmetric service that offers bandwidths up to 500 Mbps. With the ability to flex bandwidth as your customers’ business requirements change, FibreLight provides strong reliability and excellent service.
For organisations using Cloud Services for applications such as Microsoft 365/Teams or dedicated business applications such as Oracle, network quality is key. The ITS FibreLight business broadband offer delivers a higher level of service quality than residential broadband making it ideal for applications such as Cloud, and SD-WAN.
FibreBright (Uncontended Ethernet)
FibreLight requires a Daisy router and the pricing of this is included in the above buy price. FibreBright is an uncontented dedicated Ethernet service, ITS will provide the customer router for this.

In response to Mobile Network announcements earlier in the year, relating to the introduction of roaming fees when utilising mobile services in Europe, we now have confirmation from the networks with regards to how this will affect our exclusive propositions.
Our intention, where possible, is to align with the networks’ own policies. As such, we can clarify that as of 1st January 2022, we will introduce a daily roaming fee of £2.00 ex. VAT on all Vodafone tariff changes*, resigns and new connections. This new daily fee will be known as ETS - European Travel Select and will be relevant across all current and legacy propositions, with the sole exception of our current Vodafone Fusion Unlimited and Daisy Vodafone Unlimited Extra tariffs that include TravelFree and TravelPlus. In addition, charges will not apply when roaming in Ireland or Isle of Man.
*Only base tariff changes will be considered a tariff change. Subscription level and account level bolt-ons/bundle adjustments are not considered tariff changes.

With over 20 billion devices being connected today and the number set to rise to 30 billion by 2025, IoT is now the front runner for connectivity. Add to that fixed services including PSTN and ISDN being part of the big switch off and 4G soon to be 5G, connectivity is the way forward. Keep in mind to ask whether your customers may be moving premises in the future. With 3G and 4G sunsetting soon upon us, your customers may need to opt for IoT for various services, including alarm lines, door systems, and smart devices.
Daisy Anywhere is our IoT product. Starting with just a SIM card, the Daisy Anywhere SIM is built using multinetwork technology so that your customers’ devices can connect to the strongest network available, ensuring virtually no downtime or breaks in productivity.
It may take time for ethernet providers to survey and appoint an engineer to install, let alone fix, dropped services. With Daisy Anywhere, you can provide a router and 4G SIMs and get billing from day one, pre-ethernet, and then convert to back-up once fixed is back on.
For truly mobile connectivity. Plugged directly into the networks, allowing for flexible tariffs.
Grab a router, pick a SIM, check for coverage, and you’re good to go.
With unsteered multi-network SIMs, connectivity is dictated by the strongest provider, not an MNO’s preferred option.
For hosted products and services, like hosted voice.
Covering 650 networks across 180 countries, help your customers discover their future with Daisy Anywhere.
One SIM, one bill, endless tariff and data options.
Meraki Go allows customers to run their own private network and manage point-of-sale devices, while at the same time providing a guest WiFi network. It’s a quick and safe solution which helps connect their business and customers together.
Great for retail, hospitality and small offices, MerakiGo gives your customers the ability to set up guest WiFi, accept payments and more.
Your customers can create multiple networks to differentiate business WiFi from their employees and their customers.
It also enables them to segment their WiFi bandwidth, to allow a set amount to be saved for things like streaming video, audio, or online file sharing.
What’s more, it can be set up in minutes without needing an IT pro and comes equipped with built-in security to keep their business, customers, and employees safe online.
Effective communication and adaptability are critical for the modern business, so telephony systems must be able to keep up with the demands made of them in regard to collaboration and mobile working.

How much you can earn from a systems deal really depends on the type of deal you do, as these are bespoke to your customers’ requirements. To assist you with this, we have put together a typical deal for an average SME business.
A typical SME customer with between 25-40 employees will more than likely already have a telephone system in place, therefore the opportunity available to you will be to either replace this, or offer a maintenance package.
The table below outlines a typical deal:
The main control unit with the features a customer has requests*
card that connects the customers line
*Typical features could include Port licences, IP extension licences, built in voicemail etc. Our product specialist can assist you with these.
• The cost for an average system of this size is approximately £11,000. This is made up of the main control unit, the features the customer has requested, as well as training requirements, programming and installation.
• As a Daisy Partner on a deal of this size you could earn around £2,000. For all system deals, Partners earn based on a 50 / 50 profit split. What this means is Daisy would provide you with a buy price and a recommended retail price for all the items involved in a Systems deal. The Partner would then split the profit (the difference between the buy price and sell price).
Telecom fraud is at record levels and eclipses even credit card fraud. To help combat this, Daisy Communications launched Daisy Fraud Guardian, a monitoring and protection service that mitigates the risks customers face from hackers or internal telecom misuse.\
In order to protect customers from the risk of telecoms fraud, this service will be automatically applied to business customers’ PSTN lines, ISDN2, ISDN30 and SIP endpoints with Daisy and has a 30-day disconnection notice.
If the customer wishes to benefit from this service as per the pricing below, no further action is required. If the customer does not wish to continue benefiting from the service, they must opt-out (free of charge) at any point by logging on to www.daisycomms.co.uk/partners-fraud-guardian and contacting the service team.
The service is not commissionable and there is no revenue share payable on Daisy Fraud Guardian.
Daisy Fraud Guardian is a service provided to monitor, alert and protect customers from unnecessary financial exposure to telecoms fraud. Our staff and systems monitor call traffic in many ways including high value calls, high call volumes or high risk call types and known blacklisted numbers and destinations. On these occasions the calls are analysed and the customer is notified of any suspected fraud being committed on your telephone lines. In order to further help protect its customers from the risk of telecoms fraud, users of this service will also have their exposure to fraudulent calls limited to a maximum of £500 per line per day and often much less through early detection and action to suspend lines and bar calls.
With the average maintenance call-out fees standing at £1,000, the cost of your telephone system failing can be crippling on both your business and your bottom line. Long term, cost-effective service plans mean you can rid your business of these surprise maintenance charges, for good. With our bespoke packages and highly-trained Daisy engineers just a stone’s throw away, you can rely on us to get your business back up and running in minutes, not days.
Please note: Pricing is available upon application and is dependent upon the type, age and size of the telephone system as well as the business infrastructure in place. All of the packages are available on a 12, 24, 36 and 60 month plan.
