JULIA LINN ALLEN is the daughter of Jeff and Amy Allen and sister to Kate, Charlie, Anne Marie, Henry and Nora. While maintaining a high GPA Julia has also participated in Key Club, FBLA, Swim team, Fall play and Chamber Choir. While school has been a necessary evil for Julia, her real love and passion lies in activities outside of school. At 14 Julia received her Young Women Recognition Award for completing 80 hours of projects/service. Julia also earned her Honor Bee-an award received for completing 40 additional hours of service. Julia served in many leadership capacities in the Young Women’s organization at church and attended 4 years of early morning Seminary. In addition to a quick and sarcastic whit, Julia is also an accomplished artist and writer. Julia is currently on the umpteenth edit of her first book and without a doubt there will be a day when you can say, “I knew her when..” Julia will be attending Brigham Young University in the fall to study Linguistics, which her mother and father hope will lead to a career with the CIA where she can put her poker face and disdain for stupidity to good use. ANNE BAKER completed two years at Central Washington University while finishing high school through Running Start. During her high school career, she received varsity letters in soccer, participated in Key Club and other clubs, and founded the Art Club. At CWU, she founded the Running Start club, and works as the Lead Facilitator at the Challenge Course and as a Climbing Wall Instructor. Her interest in film began in Broadcast Club while filming high school graduations, and it grew to be her passion as she volunteered on CWU short film productions. Anne will attend the International Stunt School in Seattle this summer and then enter CWU as a Junior, where she will pursue a degree in Film Production. JACOB ANDREW, son of Mark and Nicole Andrew and brother to Josh, Ben and Ashley. Jake has set a standard for himself throughout his years of schooling to maintain high grades. At a young age, Jake knew he wanted to be a doctor and has worked toward that goal ever since. Jake has also stayed busy with college classes and volunteers at the hospital. He has been heavily involved in football and track & field. Other activities include being the president of a youth group at church. He likes playing piano, camping, hiking, skiing, and hanging out with family. He starts school this summer at the University

of Utah working toward an undergraduate degree in Chemistry. OWEN CANTERBURY is the son of Annamelia Scarlett and James Canterbury, as well as brother to both Gillian and Cade. While in school, Owen did his best to eliminate any relaxing free time by taking many AP courses while also participating in Cross-Country, Knowledge Bowl, soccer, and several year-long clubs. To make matters more demanding, Owen took on leadership roles in many of his activities. Outside of school, he has hopes of going hiking, spending time in the garden, and generally seeing the light of day. After graduation, Owen will attend Washington State University and pursue a major through the Honors College in Biochemistry. His future goals are to work as a pharmacologist at an infectious disease research institution. BRANDON CHANG, son of Jordan and Lisa Chang and brother to Jason and Serena, maintained a 3.96 GPA throughout his time in high school and has served as an active member of the National Honors Society. Brandon is a glass half full kind of person, one who is independent and one that enjoys long walks on the beach, deep conversations, and romantic novels. Brandon will be attending Central Washington University, where he will pursue a degree in Computer Science. ELLORY FERRIS is the daughter of Stacey & Paul Ferris and little sister of Jake & Matthew Ferris. Ellory has earned a 3.97 GPA and taken honors and AP classes. She played 4 years of varsity soccer, serving as co-captain junior & senior years. Ell also played 4 years with the Central Washington Sounders which just earned their 4th - 1st place state championship. She’s been active in many EHS clubs and served as junior & senior class treasurer. Ellory loves to be in rivers, lakes & oceans hike and spend time with family & friends. She is interested in pursuing a nursing degree at University of Washington or North Idaho College where she would be on the NIC soccer team. NICHOLE GIESY is the daughter of Chanelle and Ted Giesy and sister to Kameron. Throughout high school she has maintained a 3.975 GPA while taking AP and honors classes, and participating in sports. Nichole has received

varsity letters in Volleyball and Softball. She has also participated in FBLA, Peace Club, and Bulldog Link Leadership club. Outside of school, Nichole enjoys riding ATV’s, camping and has played summer softball since the age of 10. Nichole will be attending the College of Idaho where she will be studying Biology, Psychology, and Spanish while also getting the opportunity to continue to play softball. ROSALYN GOVEIA, daughter to proud parents Steve and Carol Goveia and sister to Jacqueline and Samantha; maintained a 3.971 GPA while taking an impressive array of AP classes. Rosalyn is a member of several extracurricular activities including National Honor Society, Peace Club, Bulldog Link, Senior Class Representative and President of Key Club. Rosalyn lettered in varsity tennis and varsity swim. She was honored with the Morril Bulldog Award in tennis and the Bulldog Award in swim. Rosalyn is an active member of her church youth group, enjoys reading, writing, photography and hiking in her free time. She will be attending the University of Washington in Fall 2017 to pursue a degree in Journalism and Communications. ISABEL HACKETT, daughter of Ted and Jennifer Hackett, and sister to Philip, maintained a 3.965 GPA while taking a challenging load of AP and honors courses. She has been involved in numerous clubs and volunteer activities including serving as President of the Peace Club and National Honors Society; regularly volunteering for the Apoyo Food Bank and the Kittitas County Friends of Animals; and working to organize a group of students who will be tutoring Syrian refugees in camps in Turkey. Isabel will attend Carleton College where she looks forward to taking advantage of the liberal arts experience to explore her interests, ranging from history and anthropology to neurobiology and languages, before settling on a course of study. HANNAH HAHN is the daughter of Mike and Sue Hahn and sister to Andrew. Hannah has enjoyed her time at EHS both academically and socially. She was Butch the Bulldog for both Football and Basketball seasons her sophomore year and was voted Most School Spirit her senior year. She is a member of the National Honor Society and has maintained a 3.95 GPA. Outside of school Hannah enjoys spending time with her horse and is also very active in the Young Women’s organiza-

tion of her church, holding numerous leadership position and clocking many service hours. Soon after graduation, Hannah and her family will be moving back to Maryland where she will attend Wor-Wic College for a semester before serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Upon her return, she hopes to attend BYU-Hawaii. BRYCE HELGESON, son of Mike and Michelle Helgeson and brother to Brayden, maintained over a 3.9 GPA while participating in many extracurricular activities. Bryce has received varsity letters in football, basketball, and baseball since freshman year, served as freshman class president, and been a part of National Honors Society since sophomore year. Bryce was also chosen to be a member of the 2016-17 CWAC Leaders in Sportsmanship program. Bryce enjoys snowboarding, wakeboarding, fishing, and any activities with friends. Bryce plans to attend Arizona State University in the Fall where he will pursue a degree in professional flight. ELLE LARSON is the daughter of Mark and Kerri Larson and sister to Isak. Throughout her time in school she has taken many AP and Honors classes and maintained a 3.96 GPA. She has been a 4-year band, choir and winter musical member, as well as participating in jazz band, marching band and pep band to supplement those activities. Also throughout her time in high school she has been actively involved in Environmental Club, Peace Club, and the Bulldog Link Leader program. Outside of school she enjoys Horse 4H and hiking in the mountains with her family. Next year Elle will be attending Cal Poly to pursue a degree in music performance and medicine. STEN MATHIS, son of James Mathis and brother to Jamie Mathis, was somehow included in the top 10 percent of his class with a 3.92 GPA and an abundance of AP courses to match. Sten has been an active member in Spanish Club, Peace Club, History Club, and several other groups during his high school career, on top of his participation in Track & Field for two years. Outside of school, he often takes part in environmental cleanups for community service. He enjoys hiking, swimming, running, and art when he has free time. Sten will be attending University of Washington Seattle while pursuing a degree in environmental or bioresource engineering. CONOR MONTGOMERY is the son of Aaron and Michelle Montgomery

and brother of Thatcher\ Montgomery. He enjoys Strength and Conditioning, English classes, and Wind Ensemble. Outside of school he enjoys knitting and hiking. Conor will be attending the University of Washington to study biology or a related field. He doesn’t believe that people should be quantified solely by their numbers or activities. People are much more diverse and complex than this system makes them out to be. He’s met a myriad of people whose worth is not recognized. SHAYLA NUNN, daughter of Tina Griffin, maintained a 3.93 GPA while taking many AP and honors courses. Shayla was Vice President of the Future Business Leaders of America for two years, Secretary and Vice President of Key Club, a Link Leader and Assistant, a member of National Honor Society, and a tutor. Outside of school Shayla has involved herself in many community service projects as well as taking the time to enjoy hunting, fishing and camping. Shayla will be attending New York University with a focus on International Relations DARIAN OLIN is the daughter of Greg and Teri Olin and sister of Morgan Olin and Scott Cooper. Throughout high school she has worked hard to maintain a 3.93 GPA while taking AP courses and participating in multiple sports. Darian has received varsity letters in basketball and softball and has been named to all all-league teams for softball all four years. She is also an active member in the National Honor Society, Link Crew, and Lead Dawgs, and is proud to show off her Bulldog pride. Outside of school Darian has participated in 4-H swine and leadership projects for eight years. She will be attending Bellevue College where she will continue her softball career and earn a degree in radiologic technology. MEGAN RAY is the daughter of Christine and Russel Ray. Throughout her high school career, Megan maintained a 3.987 GPA while taking several Honors and AP Classes and becoming a Washington Aerospace Scholar. Megan participated in multiple clubs such as FBLA for four years serving as president for two terms, FFA for four years qualifying for Nationals in horse evaluation, National Honors Society and Link Crew. Outside of school

Megan has been in horse 4-H for ten years, qualifying for state multiple times and winning the Overall Showman Award. Furthermore, Megan is a Princess on the 2017 Ellensburg Rodeo Royal Court. Megan will be attending the University of Washington in the fall to pursue a degree in Aerospace Engineering. DAVIN ROSE is the son of David and Norma Rose and the brother of Cassie Rose. Throughout his time in high school he has taken multiple Honors and AP classes and has managed to maintain and 3.93 GPA. Davin was a four year soccer player as well as a member of the National Honor Society, Link Crew, and FBLA. Outside of school Davin enjoys skiing, spending time with friends and family, and relaxing. In the fall Davin will be attending the American University, where he will pursue a degree in law and political science. THOMAS SAVAGE is the son of John and Susan Savage. While playing tennis and working at his parents dental office, Thomas has worked hard to maintain his 3.99 GPA. Through his involvement in the high scool Tennis team, Thomas learned to play tennis for the first time as well as volunteer many hours of community service through the National Honor Society. In his spare time, you will find Thomas watching football, riding his dirt bike, spending time with his brothers and sisters or washing his car. In the fall he will be off to the University of Washington to pursue a dream of becoming a plastic surgeon. REYNA SCHEDLER is the daughter of Jil Zilligen and Chris Schedler (yes they are married, to each other) and sister of Liam (watch out EHS). Reyna maintained a 3.98 GPA while subjecting herself to the intellectually rewarding yet schedule-torturing rigor of 10 AP classes and every Honors class offered at EHS. She achieved this all while participating in two varsity sports, premier club soccer, two instruments, student government, and clubs. Reyna enjoys spending as much time as possible outside, where you will find her hugging trees and exploring wilderness. She looks forward to studying environmental science and playing college soccer at Wesleyan University in Connecticut. Though she is a child of the Pacific Northwest and will greatly miss the mountains, she can’t wait to experience creative, diverse, and intellectually-stimulating college life in New England.
